JIMIN POV

"Mr. Park? I'm here to take you to your wife."

Jimin followed in silence. His mind swallowed in grief.

How am I going to tell her? How do I stay with her? What is she going to say?

Nurse Cho opened a door, revealing Y/N lying on the bed, her heart monitor beating steadily.

"When will she wake up?"

"Should be soon."

He sat on the chair beside her bed; her facial expressions were soft and delicate. Peacefully. Something she wasn't going to have for much longer broke his heart, knowing he'd be the one breaking that peace.

Gently taking her hand in his, he caressed it softly. He pressed his lips to her hand and prayed she'd wake up soon.

A soft moan escaped her lips, her head lolling from side to side.

"Y/N?"

Her eyes fluttered open. A small smile appeared on her face as she looked at him.

"How are you feeling?"

"Hm, sore."

"Do you want me to fetch the doctor?"

She shook her head "no" with a soft smile. Looking around the room, her eyes quickly returned to his.

"Where are the boys?"

"Y/N, we didn't have twin boys. We had a boy and a girl."

He wanted to avoid telling Y/N of their daughter's death for as long as possible. He couldn't bear to see Y/N's smile fade away in sorrow for their daughter.

"We have a daughter?" she asked with a soft chuckle.

"Yes."

"I want to see them."

"There's something you should know first."

"What?"

"O-our d-daughter."

"What about her? Is she alright?"

"S-she d-didn't..."

Jimin looked up, meeting her gaze. She knew, and he had passed this grief to her.

"J-Jimin, please tell me that isn't true. They're gone?"

"Not both, just our daughter."

A small tear slid down her cheek. Jimin stood to hold her, her body melting into his hold. Resting his head on hers, tears streaming down her face. The grief seemed like a deep hole willing to swallow them, but he couldn't let it. Y/N needed him.
