JUNGKOOK POV
Walking up towards Jimin and Y/n's apartment, he thought of ways to cheer her up, but his mind kept drawing a blank.
Taehyung is better at this. He's better at comforting people; I don't know why Jimin thinks I can do this.
Knocking on the door, he couldn't help but wonder how Jiminshi was doing.
"Come on in," Jiminshi said, opening the door and allowing him inside.
"How are you doing?" Jungkook asked, looking into his friend's eyes, which were filled with exhaustion.
"I'm good," he answered with a fake smile.
He couldn't help but want to cheer him up, but he knew that Jiminshi was the type who needed space until he was ready. Wrapping his arms around him, he held him, letting the pain of the world move to him for just a moment.
Patting his back, Jiminshi moved him away, his eyes filled with tears, and he gestured towards the living room.
Walking past him, he saw Y/n holding Taeyang against her chest, rocking him slowly.
"Hi, Y/n," he said in a gentle whisper.
She looked up and gave him a gentle smile. Walking around the couch sectional, he sat across from her, the bag he had been holding now resting against his leg.
"How's he doing?" he asked.
"He's doing good. Peaceful."
"And how are you doing?" he asked, watching as Jiminshi sat close to her.
She didn't respond but looked up at him; her eyes glazed over in a thin layer of tears.
"Can I hold him?" Jungkook asked, trying to redirect her attention.
"Of course," she said, moving him so Jiminshi could take him from her.
Jiminshi walked toward him, placing Taeyang gently in his arms. His body was small, and he weighed closer to a feather. Resting Taeyang against his chest, he watched this small human breathe gently against him.
He could only think of his wife and their future together. They had only recently married, but she wanted to have children so badly, and seeing Taeyang made him understand why.
"How's Sophia?" Y/n asked.
"She's doing good. Her business is growing. I wouldn't be surprised if she had her own firm in the next few years," he answered with a big smile.
"That'll be amazing. And you thought you'd never marry someone good at math," she teased.
"Haha, at least she can do our taxes," he smiled.
"Oh, I brought a gift for Taeyang if you want to open the bag," he said, gesturing with his eyes to the bag and holding in a big grin.
"Oh, you didn't have to do that," Y/n said, allowing Jiminshi to hand it to her.
He watched as she pulled out the small red jacket he had bought for Taeyang before she pulled out the matching one for her.
"Oh, it's cute!" she said with a big smile.
"It should fit both you and Jiminshi."
"Or you."
"Me?" he asked.
"Will you put it on, so I can take a photo of the two of you? It'd be cute."
"Of course."
Allowing Jiminshi to put the jacket on Taeyang as he adjusted the jacket on himself, he listened as Y/n gave him instructions while taking photos, and for just a small moment he could see her cheerful self coming back.
