I stormed out of the bathroom and without realizing what I was doing I bumped into River. "Oh sorry ." I said turning around and then I looked back at him. "What's wrong?" He asked me staring at me with his beautiful brown eyes.

"Nothing. I'm fine. " I said kissing him on the cheek. His cheeks turned a slight shade of pink. "Okay Angel Cake, well can you take me to our next class. I'm completely lost. " I laughed at him before grabbing onto his hand and leading him to his class. Which was the class I just had. I walked him in and the teacher Mrs.Sanchez looked at me.

"Ms.Perez, I've already taught you this morning. " she said with her hand on her hip. I got slightly annoyed because she called me using my last name but I held it back. "I apologize Mrs.Sanchez. I was only bringing my dear friend hear to enjoy the wonderful experience that is your class."

She shifted her eyes from me to River. "What's your name Mr.?" He smiled at her. "River Madden." She looked at her paper and crossed something off. "Well Mr.Madden, take a seat." She motioned to the class. I hugged him bye and left to my class.

I found my way to the only empty desk. I took out a sheet of paper and my pencil and I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to look. "She doesn't even teach, you could put that back in your backpack." The voice was coming from a guy whom I guessed was on the football team. "Thanks man. I'm River. "I said sticking out a hand. He grabbed it and shook it. "Jake." Jake was a dark haired guy with green eyes.

He let go of my hand and smiled. "So what brings you here?" I looked at him. "Umm I used to go to school not to far from here then my house burned down and then I went to live with the the girl who walked in with me. So I'm here ." He looked at me with pure amazement."you live with Zarah?" I nodded .

"So what's the story between you two?" I smiled at him. "She's my girlfriend." He smirked at me before holding out his fist to do a fist bump. "Dude you know she's one of the hottest girls in school? She never let any guy go near her even though they all groveled at her feet. " I couldn't help but be happy because Zarah could have anyone she wanted, but she chose me.

Jake and I went on talking for the rest of class. He was on the football time, quiet, smart and really funny. We became friends instantly. After class, we walked out and I saw Zarah across the hall talking to Andrea. I walked over and Jake followed behind me.

"Babe, this is Jake I met him in class. "I kissed her cheek making her blush. "Hi Jake. This is Andrea." Andrea waved and he nodded at them before saying hey. "You guys want to come get lunch with us?" She flashed a smile at us. I loved that smile. It was warm and genuine.

We walked into the Cafeteria and sat down after we bought lunch. I sat next to Zarah and Andrea and Jake sat on the other side.

"So there's a party tonight at my buddy Eric's house. We should all go." Jake suggested and I nodded .

"Yeah, Angel Cake. We should go. " she looked at me hesitantly.

"I don't know..." I intertwined our fingers together underneath the table and looked at her with pleading eyes, sticking out my bottom lip.

She rolled her eyes . "Fine." She said laughing. "But only for a little bit. We still have school tomorrow." Andrea cut in, "actually school tomorrow is only a half day and it got pushed to late afternoon because the freshman are doing a tour or something"

"Then it's settled. We're going." Zarah said looking a little annoyed. "Can I talk to you for a second?" She told me we could talk later. I took her hand and pulled her up, sternly but still gently.
