Remembering Love

Fourteen

On the way to Nandos I change remembering I can't wear whatever I want to work so I put this on http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=156893582. As we walk in the door we are greeted by Jonathan and Jake bombarding Natalie with things like "is it true?" "Why didn't you tell us?" "why would you lie to us?" and many others like that. Natalie looks at me and then back at them "guys I don't know what y'all are talking about?" she says without the slightest clue on what they are talking about.

"This" Jake shoves a magazine in Natalie's face. She takes it, we see there is a picture of Niall and some girl on the front with a title of "Does Niall have a new girlfriend?" Natalie just stares at it in disbelief, anger, sadness and just all the emotions you can think of, but none of them happy.

"Natalie are you okay?" I ask

"NO how can he do this to me"

"Yeah, um maybe you should just talk to him"

You thought back to last night what you thought you heard

"Natalie has nothing to do with this and who cares if I am getting close to her she is my girlfriend.........She was just a cover to start with but I have feelings for her now"

So it can't be what we think "I am so confused" I thought to myself

My thoughts were interrupted by Kayla coming in yelling

"What are y'all doing, I don't pay you guys to sit around and gossip"

Jonathan and Jake went back to cooking the hundreds of orders that they let pile up and Natalie and I went to the front counter.

Today was a slow day. We only had three or four customers and most of the time it was just a takeout order. The door chimes went off and Natalie and I, in unison said "welcome to Nandos!"

"Take a seat wherever you would like" I said politely not looking up from the magazine article about Niall. I grab a pen and pad and let Natalie know I will take care of that table.

I walk over to the table not noticing who is sitting in front of me.

"May I start you off with a drink or do y'all know what y'all want"

"We always know what we want love"

I look up recognizing his voice and my jaw drops it was Niall, I tuck the article into my apron the top sticking up a little. This caught Niall's attention.

"What is that" he says gesturing to the article

"Oh just the latest Seventeen magazine"

"Cool what is the main story can I see?"

I reluctantly hand him the magazine

"Oh my god has Natalie seen this!" he says worried

I nod slightly looking at his reaction turn from worried to scared in 2 second

"I have to talk to her can you call her over?"

"Um... I don't know that she would want to talk to you" I say feeling sorry for him.

"Please Taylor I have to talk to her.... I promise it is not what it looks like"

"I'll try"

"Thank you so much"

I walk over to Natalie

"Hey I need to use the restroom do you mind covering my table?"

"No problem" Natalie says

"Thanks you are the absolute best"

Natalie heads over to Niall as I walk towards the restroom then make a B-line behind the bush a few feet from Niall's table so I can listen in to their conversation.

"Hi may I take your order?" Natalie says while writing something down on her pad.

"I would like to talk to you" Niall says as Natalie looks up.

"I don't want to hear it" Natalie says and starts to walk away but Niall grabs her arm and spins her around.

"Please just hear me out" he pleads

"Fine but not right now wait till my lunch break" she reluctantly agreed

"Thank you so much" He says ecstatic

Natalie's lunch break rolls around and Niall is still in the same booth, same spot playing on his phone.

"Okay let's hear it" Natalie says a little harshly sitting in the seat across from him.

"Natalie, I love you. I would never do anything to hurt you ever. That picture was out of context. We were taking a picture and she said can you kiss me on the cheek and I was like sure there is nothing wrong with that. So I kissed her cheek and she turned her head and actually kissed me. I didn't know that she was going to do that. You are my one and only. You make me the happiest man in the world and I am not ashamed to tell it to the world if you want us to go official in front of everyone. I swear I only have eyes for you. Every day I wake up and think how lucky I am to have you by my side I just hope to god every day that you won't get up and leave I might not mean that much to you but to me you are my everything. I still remember how hard it was to get that first kiss, it took weeks before I could prove myself to you. You are the first person who ever thought of me as just a person and who saw me for me. You took me for the good and also saw my faults. I am so in love with you and if you leave me I will never be the same, you make me so happy. You showed me what love really meant. If I ever saw you with another I think I might actually die of a broken heart. Please understand that."

Niall and Natalie are balling their eyes out and honestly I am too.

"I love you too Niall. I just saw that she was prettier than me and I thought I didn't deserve you" Natalie said between sobs

"Are you kidding me no one can hold a candle to your flame, you light up my world. You are my sun in this world that is darkness, I don't know how you thought that she was prettier than you, and Natalie I am the one who doesn't deserve you." Niall cries out with udder admiration

They leaned in and kissed as I walked out from behind the bush

"Wow that was deep like ocean deep... like I can't even see y'all that is how deep y'all are" I said wiping fake tears

"Oh my lord Taylor you are such a dork" Natalie said with a crying sound in the back of her throat

Kayla shouts from the back

"Shifts over guys your free to go home"

Niall gets up and grabs Natalie's hand, kisses it princess style and then kissed her and went to the truck to go home.

Niall tosses me his keys and says "thanks for helping out you are a great friend"

They disappear and I think to myself "Or am I a good case? I am still not sure if that was a dream or not. Man I need more sleep"
