part 5 - some strange questions

"just this?"

Wen kexing looked at the ice cream in his hand, and turned his head to look at zhou zishu, who was sitting next to him while also holding an ice cream, nodding his head to the question.

"But it's not enough to pay for the figure?"

"I never asked you to pay for it. It's a gift."

He sighed, knowing that even if he convince zhou zishu to take his money, he won't even look at it. He really thought zhou zishu wanted him to pay for the figure with something much more expensive, but they just ended up getting an ice cream and sat together on the bench near a lake.

All the sighing and questions was just a waste of time, since he knew zhou zishu wouldn't listen to him. Wen kexing looked straight ahead, watching the lake and began to lick the ice cream, letting the air become peaceful and quiet for a while before speaking again.

"Zhou zishu."

"Hmm?"

"Will you really stop chasing me if I get a girlfriend?"

"Why? Do you want to find a girlfriend now?"

Wen kexing clicked his tongue, feeling annoyed as his question was replied with another question. "No. Just answer my question."

Zhou zishu paused for a moment, and released a chuckle. "Yes."

"Why?"

"What do you mean why?"

Wen kexing was quite, got no answer to reply.

Both of them didn't look at each other while talking, their eyes were just focusing on the lake.

"So you would just immediately stop liking me if I have a girlfriend?"

"I didn't say I would immediately stop liking you, I said I would stop chasing you." Zhou zishu casually answered.

"What if I got a boyfriend instead of girlfriend?"

"It's still the same. I would stop. Don't worry."

"Why??"

"What do you mean by WHY??" Zhou zishu turned his head looking at wen kexing, wondering why the man looked like he was offended or dissatisfied with the answer.

"I meant, if I have a boyfriend, don't you think that the chance I would like you is high..?" He was kinda regretted his own choice of words, because what the hell did he mean by that?!

Zhou zishu's face furrowed in confusion. He didn't know what direction this conversation was going. "If you have a girlfriend or boyfriend or anyone in the future, why would I keep chasing you? What's the point? I might be shameless but I won't wreck your relationship just like that. And why would there be a chance that you would like me if you already have a boyfriend?"

Wen kexing was once again got speechless. The stare from zhou zishu was not helping as it made him ashamed of his own question.

Realizing the tension between them, zhou zishu quickly put on a smile and laughed slowly, before running his gaze away to ease the pressure from wen kexing.

The QnA by wen kexing didn't just stop there, he asked another question. "Do you really like me that much?"

"Yes."

"Wow, you really are straightforward."

"Why? Did it make your heart skip a beat, or beat faster?"

"Haha, no." Yes it did. But will he admit that? No. "I don't know where you get this much confidence to be so straightforward, but I'm impressed."
