part 4 - a precious gift

Two weeks had passed since wen kexing got the confession from zhou zishu. Even though zhou zishu had asked wen kexing to think about it and consider his feeling once again, he couldn't think of anything and didn't know what to consider. Instead, he tried his best to avoid zhou zishu everyday except when they were doing assignment together.

"Running away again?" Xie wang asked, sitting down next to him with a bottle of water in his hand.

"Yes..." Wen kexing breath out a long sigh, leaning his back to the bench.

Xie wang chuckled, "aren't you going to the library later?"

"I'm not going today. Let him go there alone."

"That's mean. But whatever. How about we go get some ice cream later?"

"Ah maybe I would just go straight to home. I'm tired."

A notification rang from his phone. He took it out and read the chat, eyes widened immediately after looking at the screen.

Wen kexing
I know you're trying to run
Don't bother
I already saw you

"What the fuck?!" He immediately looked around in rush, making xie wang raised his eyebrows in confusion.

"What?"

Wen kexing gasped out loud when he saw zhou zishu was coming towards him. Without answering his friend's question, he took his stuff and quickly ran away from that spot leaving xie wang alone, still confused.

But when he saw another figure running towards the same direction as wen kexing, he understood everything instantly. He just shrugged, watching zhou zishu chasing after wen kexing while taking a sip of water.

Xie wang suddenly felt befuddled. "But why was he smiling?" The question was meant for wen kexing, because he was sure he saw the man's lips perked up before running away just now.

"Weird."

Wen kexing heaved a long sigh of relief when he thought he already succeeded in getting away from zhou zishu. He was hiding behind a tree in a small garden, thinking that the man wouldn't catch up to him.

"Haha catch me if you can, zhou zishu." He laughed to himself, still peeking from behind the tree trying to see if zhou zishu's figure already there.

"Caught you."

"FUCKING CHICKEN FUCKK!!" He screamed loudly as a hand tapping his shoulder from behind.

Zhou zishu burst out laughing seeing wen kexing's reaction. Really made him wonder, what kind of cursing was that?

Wen kexing's chest was moving up and down because of the shock he felt at the moment, he put his hand on his chest, trying to calm himself. "H-how did you find me here? I was hiding."

Zhou zishu chuckled, then points at the tree that was supposed to be wen kexing's hiding spot just now. "Your figure is literally bigger than that tree, dumbass."
