You watched me slip through your fingers,
Like sand in an hour glass
I watched you make mistakes
Yet you gave me the last chance
You are like the calm
Before torrential rains
that moment right before the flood comes
And swallows everything in it's path
You consumed me whole
and that's when I learnt
not to sell my house
And make a home out of people
you cannot be my safe haven
Because you are the storm I need shelter from
You rain your punches over my skin
But
After the rain comes new life
Growth
Strength
I only see clear skies now
Peace and serenity
All the things you never were.
