TW: Suicide

The distance connecting their hearts grew closer as the distance between them increased. Neither of the boys could come to terms with the fact that the other was gone for good or rather, there was still a glimmer of hope in their hearts.

Through all this, Ari tried to remain patient and made gradual advances on HyunWoo but he always brushed her off or did not react at all. After all, how could he give his first time to someone he did not love one bit? But her patience finally ran thin at the second month.

"Yah HyunWoo, are you just acting oblivious or purposely doing this?" Ari asked, trying to hold her anger in.

"What are you talking about? It's already late, let's sleep." HyunWoo replied, already tucking himself into bed.

"Yah Kim HyunWoo! I've been trying to initiate with you for more than two months now and you just keep brushing me off! If you don't give me what I want, I'm just going to warn you right now that I have just as much power as you do." She threatened through gritted teeth.

"Are you threatening me? What will you do anyway? Tell my Father?"

She laughed and stared at him dead in the eyes.

"You know who Hwang MinJun is right?" She smirked.

"W-What?"

"I can do anything I want with him and no one will ever find out a thing." She said, gliding towards him. "Now you would not want such a thing to happen right?"

He laughed in disbelief and got up from the bed.

"I have never thought much of you in the time we have been together but now you have showed me your true colours. You think threatening me like that makes you the bigger person?" He said.

"And you think I want to do that?" She replied and stared at him eye to eye. "HyunWoo-ah, I love you and I want to know that you feel the same way too." She placed a hand on his chest and inched closer to his lips.

He looked away and pushed her away. She fumed and began screaming her head off. And this time, she made it very clear that she definitely would not hesitate to hurt MinJun and his family.  His brain beckoned at him not to do it but his heart ached at the thought of anything happening to his love or his family. And alas, he gave in.

Guilt ate away at his conscience as tears soaked the sheets. He betrayed MinJun.

Owing to his love for the older male, Ari often abused it and threatened HyunWoo into satisfying her physical needs. He wanted to escape this cycle but he had no one to turn to and could only suck it up to protect MinJun. If he could not make him happy, the least he could do was protect him from afar right?

HyunWoo tried his best to be careful to prevent any surprises but it seemed that God had other plans for him. Ari's appetite began to increase rapidly, she was constantly tired, nauseous and most importantly, her tummy began to grow in size. After much examination, it was determined that she indeed was pregnant. He immediately broke into tears and did not come out of the room no matter who tried to persuade him. Until the Queen came along.

"HyunWoo-ah, it's Eomma. Can you open the door so we can talk it out?" She asked with a gentle tone.

After a while, he opened the door and let her in. She sat on the bed next to him and gently grabbed his hand.

"Can you tell me what's wrong? I'll try my best to help you." She smiled and stroked his hair.

"Eomma... I don't want the baby. Not with Ari at least..." His voiced trailed off and became softer as he spoke.
