Y/N'S POV
"Come on, Y/N! It's your fifteenth birthday. You need to get out of this room and celebrate."
My best friend, Lee Soojin, snatched away my pencil and slammed close my notebook. I sighed and said," What's the point? I got no family to tell me how much I'm loved and belonged."
"And that's where friends kick in." She hooked her arm in mine and persuaded me to change my clothes. I wore a floral dress and went out with her. On our way to cafe, I noticed the random gazes on us.
I nudged her and said," They are staring." She rolled her eyes and said," Of course they would. You look pretty. I wonder how you would look when your puberty will end because gurl!! You're attracting the hotties." I chuckled when she winked at me teasingly.
The bell rang when we entred and settled in the corner table after ordering the food. I looked out of the window, particularly at an old couple who were walking hand in hand with smile, for them the time stopped leaving them into a sphere of their own world.
"Hey, what you looking at?" She followed my gaze and sighed. "Do you miss him?"
"For missing someone you need to know them first." I replied," I don't even know where or how is he? A picture as blurry and old of our engagement and a ring around my finger tells me that I belong to him but the reality is that he never tried to contact me."
I fiddled with my fingers, thumb rubbing over the platinum. I did missed him because somewhere in my heart I had portrayed him like a prince, my saviour just like how Mr. Jeon's dad used to tell me fairytales and convince me that Jungkook was my angel.
The waiter came back with the order and a complimentary cake to celebrate this day. I intertwined my fingers and wished to be loved. After blowing the candles I cut the cake into pieces but Soojin was fast enough to grab a piece and slam it against my face. She smeared it all over my skin.
"Smooth like butter," she snickered,"Now it's a birthday. Go, girl, get yourself clean." I groaned but she said," Everything happens for a reason. Don't lash out on me." I shook my head in disbelief and marched towards the ladies washroom.
I closed the door and walked towards the sink to wash my face out of cream in one swipe but then a breathy moan caught me off guard. I was fifteen and as any regular teenager I knew it wasn't a moan of pain but something more.
I decided to mind my own business and get out of there as soon as possible. I gulped when her voice became higher, mixed with the groan of a man and ultimately she screamed the name of his.
"Jungkook~"
I froze. My eyes widened when I heard that name followed by the buckling of belt. The door of that cubicle opened and they came out hugging each other, ignoring me like a hallucination before washing their hands. I saw his back and prayed that he shouldn't be the same person.
All of the begging crashed landed when he turned around and my eyes landed on the similar ring he was wearing. Indeed he was my fiance.
"Do I know you?" I flinched when that woman checked me out from head to toe. She was beautiful and her voice was angelic. Though she asked me politely but I was feeling uncomfortable. Anyone would feel intimated if their soon to be partners would be standing opposite to them with another person in their arms.
I glanced at him and caught him staring at my hand, particularly at the circular metal. I clenched my eyebrows when his eyes travelled up and made eye contact. He recognised me.
