It's been two months since I collected the reports, one month to go for graduation. It's confirmed that I was indeed pregnant. However, I couldn't bold up and let it out in view for others, not even my husband. I was still not sure of how to confront him with this shocking news.
I knew he would be happy but revealing it to the world meant involved a lot of paperworks related to the Kim industry that was under me and would be succeed to my successor. It was complicated.
A sigh escaped while I rubbed circles on my little bumpy stomach. The four months bump was not evident, only making me look chubbier but symptoms did occured time to time like nausea, body ache, mood swings and random craving. I was doing my best to not let those wild emotions to take control or I would be acting so different so what I did before.
The phone rang and I picked it up. "Be ready, I am on my way to you for the party." I hummed before Jungkook cut the call. The dress I was wearing was not so tight around the belly and did amazing work in embracing the curves.
In twenty minutes I went to the entrance where he was waiting for me with a birthday present for his father. I couldn't believe Mr. Jeon, dad-in-law, had invited my uncle and cousins too.
I could never know what goes on in the mind of Jeons.
During the whole drive he was holding my hand, soft music playing from the radio and cool wind gushing to bring down the temperature until we reached. He pulled over and just when I took off the seatbelt he held my hand and pressed a peck on knuckles.
"Do you know how much I love you?"
"Cheesy~" I pecked his cheeks and said," Let's go in." He followed me, meeting several people on our way. Some knew we were married and some thought of me as Kim's daughter who was under Jeon guidance, overall everyone was enjoying and getting to know each other.
"Look who's finally here." Mrs. Jeon pulled her son in a big bear hug while I bowed, saying we were awkward was an understatement. She had sympathy at how I became orphan but she despised how the marriage was forced onto us which was strictly against her will and her son's agreement.
It wasn't her fault, she wasn't aware of the current status of our relationship.
"Won't you meet me, big boy?" A stern voice, piercing and clear through our eardrums to ooze out curtsy before his mighty aura. "How are you my dear children?" Mr. Jeon pulled his wife by waist and turned to me.
"Fine. It's an pleasure to attend your 52nd birthday." He nodded," Don't say like that, I feel like already getting older. It could trigger me to stimulate you both for a grandchild."
"We still need time," said Jungkook while rubbing his nape, not sure if he really wanted a baby or not because it was a big life changing decision.
"I appreciate it, Mr. Jeon."
That voice....From my peripheral view I saw my uncle Kim Junho coming closer with a cunning smile that he always adorned. I could never understand his bipolar intentions.
"You and he are expecting, aren't you?"
His sharp gaze was piercing on the belly for a millisecond along with that smirk which was enough to hint me about his acknowledgment about the fetus.
"No, we aren't." Jungkook undoubtedly denied, if only he knew it...
A chuckle escaped his lips and he said," I meant about expecting to cut the cake, not pregnancy." The phone buzzed and Mr. Kim excused himself. "What a weird man.." Jungkook whispered.
The party continued until the late night. I was walking towards Jungkook when a man holding alcohol crossed close by, that smell twirled the consumptions in my stomach and I had an urge to puke. Without delay I ran upstairs to the nearest room available to get it all out.
