As the sun began to rise Jacob only became more worried. He had no idea what was happening, no idea where he was, and no idea how to get back. Well, I guess if I just wander around a little, I'm bound to find something right? Jacob thought. He couldn't just sit there and wait for someone to save him, he doubted anyone was looking for him anyway.

I just have to be careful of... Whatever those things were, Jacob remembered the awful-looking human-dog creature that was in a cage near him in the place those hunters must've lived. Jacob still had no way of knowing what any of those things were. He had been running around the woods in nothing but his underwear the whole night while everyone else did who knows what.

Making his way through the brush, he tried his best to stay quiet. After he escaped from whatever that red-lighted prison was, he assumed by the direction the hunters dragged him that the lodge should be... This way? He looked for the sun, Northwest, that was his best bet. Even though he'd been caught in traps twice already, he kind of wanted to get caught again just so he had a little idea of where the hell he was.

What if I'm out here... Forever? What if no one ever finds me and I become some hillbilly in the forest and the kids at camp start making ghost stories about a crazed man running around the woods in his underwear? Jacob thought, but continued to trudge on. Wait... Don't they say to stay where you are if you're lost? Shit... Well, it was too late now. He was probably going in the right direction anyway... hopefully...

Through the trees, Jacob noticed headlights from a car on a nearby road. Instinctually, he ran towards it, roads usually lead somewhere after all. Glimpsing at the window he saw inside of the car was a... cop? What? Well, that's probably nothing...

As soon as he got to the road he began to recognize where he was. The lodge wasn't that far from here. Jacob couldn't make up his mind, should he run and waste his energy and risk being loud, or should he walk and continue to increase the time for one of those creatures to kill him or for his limbs to freeze off. Jesus Christ, I just want to get back and put on some clothes and bury myself in a small hole and just stay there for a little while. I'll hibernate the rest of this nightmare away.

Ugh fuck it, Jacob thought, breaking into a run. When he got closer to the camp he began to hear a ringing sound in the distance. Is that...? Jacob froze in place, is that... police sirens? As soon as it hit him that cop sirens were heading towards the camp, he broke into a full sprint.

The cops? What were they doing here? How did someone call them when there was no service here? Why did someone call them? It can't have been one of the other counselors who called them right? Was that random cop in a regular car involved? Did he call the other cops?

Those sirens were getting closer fast, and running around on the side of the road with blood on your face, almost completely naked, probably was not a good look to an officer.

Finally, he made it to the camp, but the police had to be right up the road by now and they'd show up within thirty seconds most likely. He looked around for any sign of life in the camp, but there didn't seem to be a single person. His only option was to sprint toward the lodge. At the same time he set his gaze on the lodge, a head popped out of the doorway, looking around cautiously. Squinting, he could now see that it was Dylan, beckoning for him to hurry up and get into the lodge.

He was almost there, but Dylan suddenly closed the door, leaving Jacob with...

"Freeze!" The cops had gotten there just in time to catch Jacob, "Turn towards us with your hands up!"

He didn't have much of a choice, he'd look even more guilty if he kept running, and he didn't even know what he'd be 'guilty' of. He slowly turned towards them, but couldn't bear to look at them. He felt completely defeated, an entire night spent running from murderous creatures, getting caught by some insane hunters, trying to save people he never found, stepping in bear traps, and now there were police yelling at him for a reason he still didn't understand. All this for a girl who doesn't like me back... Jacob thought, feeling more stupid than ever, My parents are gonna be so pissed...

"You're under arrest," A short stocky officer with dark hair said, approaching Jacob and putting handcuffs on him.

"For what?" Jacob questioned as innocently as he could, he was innocent after all.

"The dispatcher said there were several psycho teens that killed his mother, brother, niece, and possibly his nephew. In fact, he mentioned a man wearing nothing but his underwear that he... attempted to detain I believe?" The officer said, holding Jacob's handcuffs tight.

There was no way this officer would even think for a second that he was innocent, it didn't matter what Jacob said.

"Who's blood is that?" He said pointing at Jacob's face.

Jacob didn't know how else to answer but honestly, "Uhm... I don't know, sir."

The cop snickered in frustration, "Don't mess with me kid, I know you know."

"But I don't know officer... Some big hunter guy... Possibly the one who made the call... just poured it on my face... I don't know who it belongs to, it just came from a vial. Heck, it might not even be real blood for all I know."

The officer wasn't convinced, "Alright then, tell me later. But right now, I need to know where these other people he talked about are. Do you know where they are? He mentioned a petite blonde woman that killed his mother and attempted to kill his father, do you know where she is by chance?"

Is he talking about Emma? That doesn't make sense, Emma isn't a kill people to solve her problems kind of girl, and I guess she's not exactly short enough to be considered petite, Jacob thought, "I have no idea, sir."

The cop was very clearly aggravated now, "Tell me at least where any other teens are because multiple were mentioned and I don't have time to listen to your excuse for each individual person."

Jacob spoke faster than he could think, "Some of them are in the main lodge here I believe,"

Oh shit. FUCK. GOD DAMN IT WHY DID I SAY THAT. He tried to correct himself, "Well actually their probably in the cabins hiding right now... I don't know sir."

"This, you do know," The cop smiled and left Jacob for another cop to take to the cars.

The officer headed straight into the lodge.

Jacob had never felt so stupid in his entire life. He wasn't usually the type to give in to failure, but this time everything really was his fault and he couldn't do anything but feel defeated. This whole entire night had been the most humbling experience to the point where Jacob didn't know if his ego or his relationships with others would ever be the same.

As the cop dragged him to the van, Jacob realized he literally couldn't do anything but admit that he was wrong. It was an awful feeling, to be... so fucking stupid. God damn it, I guess this was a learning experience??? He tried to stay a little positive, but it was so difficult with the weight of everything on his shoulders making him feel sore.

I'm never getting arrested for a girl ever again.
