Aria's pov

Max: we need to talk ASAP!

I tiredly look over at my phone and see a message from Max.
I text her back telling her to come over and it wasn't even 5 minutes before the loud blonde was busting into my room.
"Ari I need to tell you something," she says and sits on my bed.
I sit up and reach around my bed to find my alto.
I move the blankets frantically until I suddenly stop bc I see it sitting right under my pillow.
"Ok shoot," I say and make eye contact.
"Last night I saw Cam making out with Rylee and then they disappeared," she says.
My face drops.
"What?" I ask.
Is it bad that I'm relieved like now I have a valid reason to end us?
"I'm sorry Ari. You don't deserve that" she says and hugs me.
"But on the plus side... Hot girl summer" she says and gets excited.
I pass her my pen.
"Fuck them" I laugh
Suddenly Ashton bust through the door.
"Y'all wanna go to the beach house this weekend?" He asks.
I look at Max and smile.
"It's begun" I joke.
We both laugh and Ashton rolls his eyes.
"Take that as a yes?" he says.
"We'll be attending," I say.

"So what did you need to talk about?" cam asks.
"You know what you did don't be dumb," I say.
"I have no clue what you're talking about" he jokes.
"Oh, so you weren't swapping tongues with Rylee Higgins," I say and roll my eyes.
"Ari," he says and pauses.
He looks like a fucking clown.
"It was a mistake"
"Ya, no shit, and mistakes have consequences, so lose my number. I'm done" I say stern.
"Arianna it didn't mean anything," he says and reaches for my arm.
"Cam, we don't like each other. I understand why you cheated and I'm not mad, we can be friends or whatever but we just aren't meant for each other" I say.
He stands there silent. I guess he needed me to say it for him to realize.

Calums pov.
I pull into Ashton's driveway with a car full of bullshit.
I see Ari waving at me from the house.
"Can I ride with you up there?" She comes up to my window and asks.
"Uh yea there isn't much room in the back but the passenger seat is open," I say awkwardly. She smiles at me.
"Perfect alone time" she exaggerates the word alone.
I feel my cheeks get hot.
Then max runs up right behind her.
"I'm riding with Luke and Ashton" she yells and sprints to Luke's jeep.
"You have room for a few bags?" She asks.
"I'll make room," I say and open my car door.
I put all of Aris's bags in the car neatly and she stands back and stares at me. Such an Aria thing to do.
We get loaded up for a 3 hr drive to the beach.
"I get aux," Ari says and snatches the aux cord.
She turns on sublime and rolls down her window.
I look over at her long curly hair blowing in the wind. I can't help but smile at her.

Aria's Pov.
I kick my feet up on the dash and get comfy for the road ahead.
Calum is singing along to every song, his voice always drew me in, it's so beautiful and unlike anyone I've heard.
I get distracted by a sign with fast-food restaurants on the next exit.
"Can we stop and get some food?" I say.
He turns and smirks.
"Abso-fucking-luty" he says and turns onto the exit.
