Like most people in my generation, I got into this little obsession because of the musical, as you can see by my earlier Beej drawings. This first one is from 2020, which was (surprise surprise) one of the most difficult years of my life. But having something positive to focus on like the broadway musical helped me get through it.

Then I started watching the cartoon, and already tried throwing my own spin on the man. Above is a redraw of a frame from the cartoon made to look like Broadway Beej.

Ignore how bad these look lol, I was just beginning to brainstorm ways to draw him in my style.
That'll conclude the first era! I miss those days even though I was going through hard times. Experiencing something for the first time is always a sort of golden age. It's nostalgic to look back on.
