Yoichi's POV
When Yoichi had been rescued by his two Heroes, he'd been very relieved and yet he was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Good things never seemed to happen to Yoichi and he wasn't expecting his luck to change so suddenly, yet after nearly a full week at the base of Moeta Bakugou and Sokka...he finally started to relax just a tad.
However when Moeta brought a small four year child out to meet him, he immediately had to clamp down on his panic. The child looked identical to his brother when they were younger, other then the obvious green eyes of course.
So he had asked questions about the boys parents and soon it became obvious that his brother was their father. However certain details didn't line up, for example Izuku hadn't known what abilities were...but when they asked if Moeta meant Quirks and Moeta went along with it, they answered correctly.
As they ate Yoichi asked more and more Questions and it soon became obvious what the issue was, apparently it was the year 2344 where Izuku was from. That was nearly two centuries into the future and he was positive that a four year old wouldn't be able to make up so many details about something they were imagining.
This produced few problems for Yoichi, one he now knew that he wouldn't be able to defeat his brother. The second being that he had to choose whether or not to reveal that he was the boys Uncle...and finally whether or not he should even try and send the boy back to their time.
"Izuku, do you know how you ended up here?" Yoichi asked, making sure his voice was soft as not to scare the child.
Izuku hesitated and nodded softly, biting their lip nervously.
"Mama was hit by...a Quirk." Izuku admitted softly, looking like they wanted to cry but couldn't manage it." She...wouldn't wake up and then the weird Quirk hit me...but I woke up here."
Yoichi closed his eyes and took a deep breath, this wasn't ideal. However it also told him that the Quirk that hit his Nephew likely killed the person before distributing the person in the past as not to disrupt the timeline. Still the idea that the child had to go through something like that when he was not even five years old, was horrifying and broke his heart.
The only silver lining in all this was that sometime in the future, his brother had mellowed out enough to actually care about someone enough to settle down and try and start a family and even though it fail...it made Yoichi feel a spark of hope. Was it possible he could still save his brother, he knew that Moeta and Sokka would disagree and they were likely right.
However the thought was enough to push down any panic he got from looking at little Izuku who was looking up at him with their bright green eyes, that looked so much like his. He gave the toddler a small smile, simply to reassure them that everything was fine. That he was fine, even if it was partially a lie.
"Do you need to go back to your room?" Sokka asked gently and Yoichi couldn't prevent his heart from speeding up just a little at the other mans question.
"Um, could...Izuku stay in my room?" Yoichi asked softly, giving his two Heroes a hopeful look." He's my last family, the only one that hasn't died or b-betrayed me....please. I will do anything, just let me have this one thing."
Moeta and Sokka exchanged looks, the two seeming to speak in a language that he couldn't quite understand. Eventually Moeta turned back to him and gave a sharp nod, giving him permission to take care of Izuku. He let out a breath he hadn't known he was holding, suddenly feeling just a bit lighter then he had been before.
