Moeta's POV

Moeta noticed the moment Hisashi woke up, Sokka, Yoichi, and Izuku were joking around when he saw out of the corner of his eye that Hisashi had opened his eyes. He nudged Yoichi, the man turning to look at Hisashi, before swallowing, it was obvious that the man was overwhelmingly hopeful for his brother to be the one to wake up, he could see it in Yoichi's eyes, even if the man himself didn't notice.

"Shigaraki, you alright?" Moeta asked, walking up to the bed and crossing his arms before noticing how the man just leaned back and sighed as if he'd finally found the peace he needed.

"Call me Hisashi, you've done so much for me and I owe you a life debt," Hisashi murmured, making Moeta let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding before he held his hand out toward the man with a small quirk of his lips.

"No, I should be thanking you for beating your Meta-Abilities control," Moeta stated, earning a grin from the man.

"No, I didn't beat All For One, the Meta-Ability had gone rogue when I was very young, and grew scared of it." Hisashi said slowly, sighing." I rejected it, and let that fear bubble under the surface until my Meta-Ability had had enough and tried to take over. Still, the truth is that all of this could have been avoided had I just accepted my power instead of letting it control my actions and decisions and for that, I am so sorry."

Moeta blinked, surprised at the words that were being spoken, this had been more of a case of a man fearing his Meta-Ability and that fear had festered into a completely different personality taking form, one that had control over the Meta-Ability and Hisashi himself. Part of him wished he could have saved Hisashi back then, but he hadn't even been a resistance fighter then, plus if Hisashi never became All For One then he'd have never met Yoichi. So he supposed some good had come out of everything he'd been through, even if it was small.

"I suppose you'll want your son back," Yoichi spoke up, his voice withdrawn and Moeta turned to see his boyfriend giving the ground a glare, his own heart dropping at the words, he'd forgotten that Hisashi was Izuku's biological father.

"No, I may have helped bring the boy into this world, but I am not his dad, that will always be you Yoichi." Hisashi stated firmly, leaving no room for argument." Being a dad is more than a biological connection, it's an emotional connection, and a choice on the child's part. I am more than happy to be demoted to uncle if it keeps you and Izuku happy, plus being an uncle is just being a dad without having all the responsibilities."

Yoichi's face lit up before Moeta had to back up to avoid being crashed into as his boyfriend rushed to Hisashi and latched on in a bear hug, leaving him to stand next to Sokka with an exasperated feeling in his chest. It was nice seeing the two brothers getting along so well, he had a feeling that Yoichi had never dreamed of it ever ending like this, and Moeta himself was a bit surprised, not that he was complaining about the non-violent ending he had received.

It really was a happy ending straight from a fairy tale.

Sokka's POV

Sokka couldn't help but feel immense relief that Hisashi had decided to stay under the uncle title, for Izuku and Yoichi's sake, he hadn't wanted to lose his son. As much as he was reluctant to ever trust Hisashi completely, he was happy that he hadn't been forced to resort to violence to finally defeat the man. Too many lives had already been lost fighting All For One, and the last thing he would have wanted was to cause more.

He supposed Hisashi wasn't the worst potential brother-in-law, he could have had someone way more unbearable end up in Hisashi's position.

Yoichi's POV

Yoichi was ecstatic, he had his big brother back, his real big brother who he'd missed for so terribly long. Hisashi had even mentioned remembering everything now. He'd spent an hour listening to Hisashi apologizing for the vault in several different ways, eventually, Yoichi had to ban the mention of the vault in conversation. Otherwise, he was pretty sure he'd spend the entire decade listening to Hisashi saying sorry over and over again, which didn't sound like a good time at all.

"Love you, big brother," Yoichi mumbled, giving his brother another hug, he couldn't get enough of them.

"I love you too, little brother." Hisashi murmured back." I am so sorry I couldn't protect you from myself, I promise to try and make up for it in the future, don't worry, you won't be losing me any time soon."

He just clung to the man tighter, tears running down his cheeks as he tried to keep his mind off the overwhelming warmth blooming in his chest. He'd missed the feeling of being protected, something only his brother could do to this extent. It made him not want to let go, to forever stay in the moment where he was being hugged, being treated right by his brother for the first time in ages.

Yoichi could get used to this feeling.

Izuku's POV

Izuku was happy his uncle Hisashi, his Papa, Pops, and Daddy were all greeting his uncle Hisashi who was currently clinging to his Daddy like he was the man's lifeline. His family wasn't fighting, he hated the fighting or tense atmosphere it always brought as if his uncle Hisashi was one of those ticking devices that go boom. Now though, his parents and uncle Hisashi weren't fighting, he didn't know what happened, but he knew he was happy about the result.

"Does this mean I can see Uncle Hisashi more now?" Izuku asked, looking up at Papa who turned to give him a small smile.

"Yeah, it means you can see your uncle more, Hisashi ain't going anywhere kiddo," Papa confirmed and Izuku's face lit up before he rushed to the bed and pounced on both his daddy and uncle, earning laughs from both of them.

He just grinned as he felt the arms of his daddy and uncle wrap around him, holding him close before papa and pops joined in. He had been right, uncle Hisashi was not a bad man, he had just done bad things and couldn't find a way out of it. Izuku would make sure that he always would stay happy, then he wouldn't become bad again!
