In class, I stared out the window, paying no heed to the current lecture the teacher was giving. It would just turn into pointless information after I graduate high school anyways. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, as pink snow danced in the sky.

Suddenly, I felt a longing to abandon class and go outside. Absentmindedly, I got up from my chair, scooted it back into the desk, and walked down the rows of desks. As I reached the doorway, the teacher put her hand on my shoulder, turning me around by force, so that our eyes would meet.

"Where do you think you're going, Miss Eveline?"

I looked into her eyes, my minds devoid of thought, as I spoke back to her:

"Outside. Your lectures are pathetic. I have no need to listen to you yap useless information."

I ripped her hand off my shoulder and turned my back on her, but not before glancing at her one more time.

"Don't call me Eveline ever again," I stated coldly, walking away.
