No One's POV.
"We will keep close to this area" The figure ordered, placing her finger on the part of the map she was referring to. "We will then send one ship to here which will be used as bait whilst the rest of the fleet will double around the back and ambush from behind" The woman explained, with the general listening intently.
"You know, that's not such a bad-" He began, however was cut off by a loud knock sounding on the door.
"BE PATIENT" The tall woman snarled, slamming her fist on the table before clearing her throat and sitting back down. "Continue"
"Not a bad plan. Although-" The general was cut off again when the door sounder an even louder knock.
The apparent leader rolled her eyes and stood, this time throwing a dagger at the back of the door. "I SAID SHUT IT. WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" She screamed, and the door opened to reveal a thin man dressed in black leather and multiple metal elements adding to his attire. The woman sat back down and slumped in her chair.
"Freya" The figure greeted, his voice raspy and dangerously toned.
"That's LORD KAYNA to you, Magnus" She glared at the man standing before her as the General backed up and decided to watch.
"Whatever. And it's Sir Fletcher to you, Lord Kayna" The man fired back, clearly irritated at the young redhead sitting before him.
"Shut it. What do you want Fletcher?" Lord Kayna asked with a sour expression.
"Well, I have news to share. Gossip, if you will" He began, and Kayne nodded for him to continue. "Rumor goes the New Berkian forces are weak. For the time being, anyway" the woman sitting in front of him gave a concerned look. "Their general and chieftess has fallen ill. Can't walk 10 feet without throwing up, according to their local trader"
"How did you get in contact with New Berk's local trader?" Kayne asked, raising an eyebrow at the tall man.
"I overheard him and another man talking at the Northern Markets" He revealed bluntly. The woman nodded in understanding. Eavesdropping was essential in the dark business.
"What else did you hear?" The woman asked, her lips forming a thin line as she waited in anticipation for his answer.
"The fact that their forces are down isn't the main focus- it's what might be causing her to have fallen so seriously ill, especially if nobody else is becoming infected with whatever illness she has. That takes contagious conditions off the list- therefore it cannot be the Scourge of Odin, Influenza nor a simple bug. It has to be something else" He explained, and this caught Lord Kayna's attention, who had been fiddling with a pencil for the past few minutes. She placed the pencil on the desk and sat up straight.
"What are you proposing, Fletcher?" She asked, knowing exactly where this was headed.
"What I'm saying is, this disease not being a contagious disease or virus lowers the outward risk level, however it rises the inner risk level. This means that it is likely she could be ill for much longer. Without their general and second in command, New Berk could let their guard down for a longer period of time because there is less regulation throughout their forces. Meaning if we can remove her from the equation entirely, we can easily capture the chief and conquer the village" She sat back and stared at him with utmost shock at his knowledge before quickly shrugging it off and thinking about his plan.
"So you're saying... put off plans to recapture and overtake a crucial plot point in the entirety of the Barbaric Archapelago to capture and take hostage the chieftess and leading warrior of an island belonging to what used to be the most famous colony in the known world?" Lord Kayna concluded, Fletcher nodding in agreement.
"Precisley" He confirmed, and Kayna stood up and clapped her hands together, a bright smile crossing her freckly facial features.
"Let's do it! Oh I do love a good kidnapping..." She exclaimed, walking through the long corridor and up onto deck. "SET SAIL FOR NEW BERK!" The captain shouted, the ship sharply turning 90 degrees west at the sound of new orders. "And today will be the start of a new era..."
*meanwhile*
The general sat in the dark room where he and Lord Kayna were discussing ambush techniques minutes before.
"Well... that just happened" He stated, not entirely sure what to do next.
