"um, i didn't think i would meet my soulmate like this." ruby said sheepishly.
"hmph. neither did I." weiss responded.
"oh! and i'm sorry for bumping into you earlier!" ruby apologized.
"...it's fine." weiss mumbled, her cheeks growing red, "at least we met each other."
ruby smiled. she agreed with weiss, that if they never bumped into each other, their world would still be monotone.
"um, so where do you live?" ruby asked, "if we live close by, we can walk together." she shyly suggested.
weiss thought for a moment before standing up and looking behind her, "sure."
"wait, really!?" ruby exclaimed.
weiss sighed, "yes, you have five seconds to join me. five, four, three."
ruby stood up and stood by weiss's side, smiling brightly. they both began walking, and ruby held weiss's hand. weiss noticed ruby holding her hand and blushed at the gesture.
"w-what are you doing, you dolt!?" she exclaimed, letting go of ruby's hand.
"sorry! i should have asked you first." ruby apologized, tapping her index finger together.
"hmph! well, next time, you should." weiss responded.
ruby only knew weiss for five minutes but she knew they wouldn't get along well. it was...interesting. two girls who are opposite of each other are soulmates, who would have guessed? then again, her older sister's soulmate is a quiet girl who doesn't talk very much, opposite to yang's personality. always talking, making puns, and being energetic.
"so, where is your house?" ruby asked, changing the topic.
"over there." weiss pointed to a two-story house.
both girls walked in silence, by now it was evening. ruby heard weiss's steps come to a halt, which made ruby stop as well.
"we're here." weiss said.
"you have a nice house," ruby complimented.
"...thanks." weiss mumbled, "um..."
"what is it?"
"t-thanks for walking with me..." weiss blushed, looking slightly to the left to hide her face.
ruby giggled, "of course! is it fine if we can hang out tomorrow? here's my number." ruby showed the white-haired girl her phone. weiss quickly insert her phone number before going to her house.
"i'll see you tomorrow!" ruby smiled and waved.
weiss waved back and entered her house.
