The hunt

After the whole thing that happened yesterday I'm feeling great, I wonder if we will train my magic skills, exercise is not my thing. Maybe I'll learn more types and whatever. I could maybe possibly not die in the world, that sounds like a nice though.
Well maybe I should go and find Sai and ask him what's he up to this day.

Is he in his room, let's go and see. Hmm his room is empty and very clean. Damn I'm a slob, should I clean my room, naw.
Is he possibly in his kitchen.
*clacking*
Thank god he's making food, I'm hungry.
Carter: "hey sai whatcha making, smells good."
Sai: "I'm preparing a small meal before I go."
Carter: "what where are you going?"
Sai: "well I have to go for more supplies since I'm almost out."
Carter: "but didn't you go like a couple days ago?"
Sai: "yes I did, but the thing is yesterday when we celebrated your very important achievement you ate most of the food."
Carter: "oh yeah, sorry About that, you should have put a limit on how much I could eat."
Sai: "haha, no it's all good."
Sai: "now I have to leave, are you going to be alright here."
Carter: " yeah yeah I will, but what if I come with you."
Sai: "I don't know if you should, hunting isn't easy for someone your size."
Carter: " I'm sure I'll be fine, please Sai."
Sai: "hmmmm."
Carter: "pretty please Sai I'll be on my best behavior, and also I haven't really done that much since I got here."
Sai: "alright than I'll take you, but you can't go wandering off it can get dangerous fast."
Carter: "ok Sai I'll stay with you at all times."
Sai: "alright let's go."
Sai and I left to go set off on another adventure, just the two of us, yeah!

This so called adventure was very boring, we walked for like 1 and a half hours I thought I would be doing more like I don't know hunting or anything like that.
Sai: "hey Carter are you doing alright you seem to be looking a little down. Is this too much for you, do you want to go back?"
Carter: "No! This is just fine it's just that I um..... was... thinking about yesterday, yeah I was thinking about yesterday."
Sai: "oh that explains why you look depressed, you were thinking a lot about your magic abilities."
Carter: "yeah that's right I was thinking about that. Definitely not about this trip hehe."
Sai: "yeah and also about what happened yesterday, I didn't mean to hold on to you like that, it was just that I was overly excited, and you remind me of someone that I used to know, so my bad if I made you feel uncomfortable."
Carter: "What Sai you could never, and it's alright I didn't mind at all."
Carter: "And who did I remind you of."
Sai: "oh no one in particular just an old friend of mine, so no need to worry about that."
Carter: "okay than, um also how long till we make it."
Sai: "it shouldn't be to long now, about 2 more miles and we should make it."
Carter: "2 miles that's not that bad."

I can't anymore it's been so long since we left his home and Sai keeps saying we are almost there, but I can't keep walking anymore my legs are starting to fail me and my feet hurt.
Carter: "s s sai aa are we almost th there."
Sai: "yes we are, it's right over there."
I don't know where he pointed and I don't care to look, I just want to lay down.
Soul: you'll never get anywhere with that attitude.
Carter: "huh what was that."
Sai: "did you say something Carter."
Carter: "No my bad I thought I heard something, but I guess I must be losing it."
Sai: "ok we are almost there I promise so don't go insane."
Carter: "alright."
Soul: hearing voices, guess you really have lost it.
Carter: oh it's you, how are you talking to me can't I only talk to you if I meditate or something.
Soul: what am I bad company, so sorry my queen. And also ever since you Finally, after multiple attempts and failure, did that spell I have become more I guess you could say free.
Carter: so like I can talk to you whenever I want to without having to do all that work?
Soul: well not really, I can come in and out of your mental space whenever I WANT TO, you on the other hand need to still put in the work.
Carter: really that's seems kinda stupid, and doesn't make sense at all.
Soul: hey well I don't know and it's not like I wrote the rules to this communication, blame the stupid writer they are the one who decided all of this.
Maur: HEY I'm right here and I'm sorry I couldn't figure out what to write, I'm no good at this ~3~
Soul: see told you.
Carter: ok whatever just go away the both of you. I'm literally tired bye.
Soul: he-
Maur: bye ✌️.
Jeez can't I get a day without having to be nagged at.
Sai: "ok we're here, this is where we are going to hunt and scavenge for our food, but first let's take a break."
Carter: "YES! I've been waiting to lay down on something."
I'm laying down I don't care what I'm on I just need a break.
Sai: "you stay right here and I'll go and look for a source of water, then we will start hunting."
Carter: "alright got it."
Let me just close my eyes for a second and rest

Sai: "Carter I'm back now are you ready for hunting."
Carter: "huh what, yeah I'm ready, In fact I'm always ready yep."
Sai: "are you sure you don't have to go if you are ready, it's okay if you want to stay here and rest. I'll just go hunting on my own and we can go after."
Carter: "no no I'll go I'm really ok and ready to go."
Sai: "alright than follow me and here drink some water you look thirsty."
Carter: "awww thank you, I really do need this water to though, I'm really thirsty."
After I drank literally all the water, hopefully Sai wasn't thirsty too, we went deeper into the forest. It's not as dark as I would imagine it's really bright.
Carter: "hey how come it's so bright in here?"
Sai looked over at me, and signaled me to be quiet, he then pointed up. As I looked up I saw these tiny creatures, yes creatures as in more than one, on each tree they were bright and I was close to pissing my pants.
Sai and I continued walking past this evil place and into a more less infested part of this forest, I'm sure We'll have to come back through here. After we were a good distance away Sai opened a map and found the place we have to go for our hunt.

Carter- "so what are we hunting for exactly."
Sai- "we are hunting for wild runners, they're these brown creatures that have snouts and tusks, and a curly tail. When they are small tiny babies they are really cute, but the more adult ones are horrible looking and will chase anything they see that moves."
These runners sound like wild pigs.
Sai: "ok here's one these are usually bigger than this, so this won't be to hard."
Wait these things can be bigger, this one is already as big as that large bush, how big do these things get!
Sai: "You'll need to distract it while I deliver a finishing blow to it, don't worry I won't let it hurt you."
Carter: "ok I trust you Sai so don't let me down. I'm going now so please be ready so I can live another day!"
I called out to the pig looking thing, and it saw me. It ran towards me and I bolted. It might get me, and I don't want to know what happens if it does get me.
I kept running around in a circle waiting for Sai, but he didn't come and I was slowing down. I've never ran this much before.
Carter: "Saaaaaiii! Please kill this monster it's going to eat me!!!"
Out of nowhere Sai came down on the pig and stabbed it right through the head.
Sai: "haha you ugly runner, I finally got you. Ok Carter I'll go leave this in the pile and than we will go find anther with the same strategy ok."
Carter: huff huff "ok just give me a minute I'm all out of breath."
Sai went to go put it in a pile, I was resting again and when we get home I'm going to sleep and never going on a trip like this again.

For the next 3 HOURS!! We kept on getting those pigs with the same strategy it was like 15 pigs in total but still, and I have never run like that in my entire life. I'm tired and I can't feel my legs no more.
Carter: "Sai please tell me we are done with the hunting it's been I few hours now, and I think we have enough food for a week."
*falls to the ground*
Sai- "you are right I think I went overboard just a little, I was caught up on my excitement of having someone to hunt with, my bad."
Carter- "you find this fun I can't move anymore, Sai you'll have to carry me all the way home."
Sai- "a are you sure? Imma ok to carry someone as small as you, not that you are small or anything I'm just saying that I can, but only if you want to yeah yep."
Carter: "yes please, thank you Sai."
Sai- "ok than let me just pick you up lick so."
*picks up carter*
Guys let me tell you being picked after a long day of running feels so good, I'm melting in this guys arm.

Holy crap I'm in his arms, he's carrying me bridal style too.
Carter- *intensely blushes* "I just remembered actually that you have to carry all these runner things, I should probably get down and help you."
Sai- "it okay Carter you worked really hard today and you deserve a break, and all of these bodies won't be hard to carry all the way home, trust me it's ok,"
Carter- "b b but it doesn't seem fair that I'm just extra weight for you to carry I should help."
Sai- "No it's ok, just sleep for now By the time you wake up again, we will be back home."
Carter- "as long you are really sure, I guess I can try to sleep, but just know that I'm going to do something for you when we are back."
As I said that Sai looked down at me and stared at me, and smiled. His goofy smile made me feel weird, and I don't know how to feel. It feels like something is in my stomach. Gosh he looks good.
Carter stop with these thoughts just sleep.
*shuts eyes and sleeps*

I woke up to the sound of a door opening, we must be home.
We walked till he opened another door, if I'm right and it's most likely that I'm right, it should be my room.
Sai: in a whisper "ok Carter here's your bed, and since your not awake I can say this I liked holding you. Ok now bye."
*blush* What a weird thing to say, I guess he didn't notice that I was awake. And if I could just add one more thing, I also like being held by him.
I guess since I'm on the bed, and also it is night time, I should sleep.
