Sick

It's been 3 days since we went on that hunt. And I'm starting to regret going because I feel like I got hit with a truck. Twice!
At first I didn't feel anything you know I was good, but just before I went to sleep my nose clogged and I was like psh whatever it's nothing.
What a goofy thought because the next day I felt awful and it was hot but cold, and I couldn't breathe, just terrible let me tell you. When Sai came into my room to check on me, he thought I was dead. Though he denies it, I know that's what he thought because he checked my pulse.
Anyways it's day 3 of me being sick and let me tell you, I can't move, I'm sore, I'm tired but I just can't sleep, and Sai is going to take care of me.
Like I need a babysitter I'm grown, a few days of this is nothing.
To be honest I don't remember the last time I got sick. I don't get sick, what if this is some sort of slow killing illness. I might die again.
*door opens*
Sai: "Carter are you awake, I got you some medicine for your cold."
This is not a cold, I'm dying.
Carter: "Sai are you sure that this is a cold, because I don't remember being sick felt like this."
Sai: "yeah this is actually a common sickness it should go away if you drink this."
He showed me a bottle filled with black goo, it looked like death.
Carter: "I don't want it."
Sai: "please Carter."
Carter: "nope, just let me sit this one through, it will go away eventually right?"
Sai; "Carter if you wait you will be in bed for at least a month."
Carter: "But Sai it looks gross, I don't want it."
Sai: "Please Carter I want you to feel better, with this medicine you will feel better in two days, I will even feed it for you and anything else after, so please drink this."
He shakes the black goo filled bottle to my face, and gave me a face I could resist saying no to.
Carter: "ok, fine I'll drink it. But not because I want to but because of the deal you made."
Sai: "thank you so much Carter. Now open wide here comes a spoonful of medicine."
I open my mouth as wide as I could, but I couldn't open it correctly because this was so embarrassing, I turned extremely red, while he starred at me. As the "medicine" entered my mouth, I felt how unnaturally warm and thick it was. I felt so violated, oh god why.
Sai: "it's alright Carter your doing great, your swallowing all of it. Most people vomit."
As i was trying to hold it down, my body was trying to throw it back out.
Carter: "Sai are you sure it was medicine and not poison, my belly feels hot."
Sai: "No you'll be fine it's just one of the side effects of the medicine, you should feel better in a day or so."
He says that but I feel dizzy and warm.
Carter: "what type of side effects are they."
Sai: "it not to much you might feel warm and cold, dizzy, sensitive to light, you also might feel a little "hot". But most folks don't feel these symptoms."
Carter: " Sai I'm not most folks I'm different."
Sai: "I'm sure you will be just fine carter, I gave you the recommended dosage for smaller creatures."
I looked at Sai and he's never looked so warm, and I'm so cold.
Carter: "hey Sai is it cold for you, it's getting cold for me."
Sai: "No but if you want I can get you another blanket."
Carter: "Noo don't leave me, I don't like being alone."
Sai: "are you not cold than, are you okay Carter."
Sai's POV:
Hmmm maybe that medicine is a little to strong for him maybe I should have given him less.
I hope he doesn't get worse
Carter looked around the room, like he was missing something.
I checked if his temperature was ok, and it seemed to get better, but he doesn't look good.
As I kept feeling guilty for making him worse he said something to me.
Carter: "hey Sai has anyone ever said this to you..."
I leaned a little closer since he got a little quite
Sai: "sorry Carter I couldn't her you could you repeat that."
Carter: "I said your such a good boy."
*tail wags hard, like extremely hard*
Carter: "like you always take care of me and lots of other stuff, even though we met like almost a week ago."
I couldn't stop my tail, and my face was burning. I couldn't keep myself from smiling.
Sai: "no I don't deserve such praise from you Carter, I would help anyone if it meant they are safe."
Carter: "see you really are a good boy, and all good boys deserve a reward."
He waved his hand for me to come closer. I don't lie when I say I'm a little embarrassed and happy at the same time.
I went in close and he put his hand on my head. And started petting me.
It made me weak in the knees for a second, but I was in pure bliss.
Carter: "do you like that Sai, I can tell your body likes it, but I want to know if you like it. if you don't I can stop."
I looked up at him trying my best to keep a straight face, and nodded yes to him.
Carter: "that's good to hear, I'm glad you are enjoying it."
I put my head down on his bed, and he continued.
Carter: "hey Sai aren't you uncomfortable on the ground."
Sai: "n no I'm alright."
Carter: "if you say so, but I can you lay on the bed with me. I'm still cold."
He won't stop complaining, so I guess there is no other way. I walked to his side of the bed and stood their.
All I could feel was guilt and embarrassment from this situation.
Hopefully he doesn't remember any of this, knowing Carter so far he most likely will.
Carter: "come on Sai, it's cold and I need you right here." He said while patting the spot right next to him.
I look at the spot next to him and made a face, trying to show him I don't want to invade his space.
He kept patting the spot next to him.
*sigh*
Sai: "ok only because you want me to not because I want to."
I went besides him slowly and I stayed as still as I could.
I wondered why I was obeying his every word. We both haven't known each other for long and this feels right.
Carter suddenly latched on to me and  rubbed my ear, making me almost forget how close we are and how inappropriate this was.
We stayed like that for a few minutes until he grabbed my face, lowered me down so we were meeting eye to eye.
I looked away, but he kept staring at me. I guess maybe he wants to say something.
Sai: "Carter are you ok-."
He hushed me with his finger, and kissed my snout.
Carter: "Sai I love you." He said with a giddy smile.
Pan pan pan WHAT! I don't I uh.
I stare off into space, but right now I'm feeling too much emotion.
It's settled, when Carter feels normal again, I won't say anything this is something I will talk to him about when he is ready, but it's more of when I am ready to tell him.
When I snapped back into reality Carter was holding on to me, sleeping. When he's sleeping he looks cute. Just like Max, damn... he's been gone for so long, but I have to move on, I should have a while back, but what can I do.
I looked away from him before I start saying anything else.
For now I just need to relax, and come to terms with what just happened I'm the whole situation with him kissing and confessing to me.

It's been a few hours since he fell asleep, at first I I could feel how hot my face was, but eventually I got over it.
I'm starting to feel tired too. I have to get up and go to my room. Tomorrow I'll make him something special for him to wake up to. He'll probably smell it somehow and wake up fast. Since he likes food a lot.

Carter POV:
Carter: "Mmm what's that smell-."
Ugh I feel like I was working out, but I know I didn't, my muscles are in so much pain.
At least I can move my hands a little. Yep that's a good start.
What happened yesterday. I can't remember too much, all I know is that I drank that black goo, and sleeping. I know there was something else hmm. Maybe Sai knows I'll ask him, I need to catch my breath.
Carter: "SAI! Where are you!"
*thud*
Oh crap I think he was making food. Hopefully he's ok, and hopefully my food is also safe, but mostly that he's not dying
*thump thump thump*
He's coming quick, didn't he just fall.
Sai: "Carter are you ok! I heard you scream my name." He said while breathing really fast.
Carter: "oh no I'm so sorry Sai. I didn't mean for you to come here like that. It's just that I suddenly woke up, and I tried to get up but I'm in so much pain you know. So I called you, but I'm hindsight I shouldn't have screamed."
Sai: he sighed and told me "that's ok Carter, just please remember that if you ever need me you can do so by calmly calling my name. I can hear many things from a far distance."
He said whiling pointing at his ears.
Carter: "oh haha you're right I keep forgetting that you have sharp ears, and also that you are a wolf."
He smiled at me, but I must have been staring at him funny because he suddenly looked away from me.
Sai: "I have your meal ready for you because you haven't eaten in a while, hold on I'll bring it to you."
Carter: "ok thank you."
That was weird, oh well what can I do.
He came back really fast and sat next to me with two plates one for me and the other for him, unless he there both for me.
Sai: "here you go Carter."
He put my plate on me, I sat there while looking the food.
Carter: "can you umm feed. Me . Please. But not because I'm lazy it's just that my arms can't move a lot!"
He gave me one of those smile that looked gentle and sincere, I don't know what to say and my face turned red.
Sai: "of course anything for you Carter."
That made me smile.
Carter: "Sai I actually wanted to know something, what happened yesterday. I remember eating that black stuff and blacking out a few seconds after. There's something else that's in my head but it's fuzzy?"
Sai: "all you did was sleep after drinking the medicine. I'm sure nothing ales happened, I would know I was with you the entire time."
Carter: "hmmm I don't know, I remember talking with you can't you tel-."
Sai: "nope it was nothing I'm sure it was just a dream."
Carter: "ok bu-."
Sai: "Carter I think your over thinking. Here instead of worrying about the past have some food."
He said while giving me more, and while looking really guilty. Maybe I should let this slide, for now at least. He's seems overwhelmed.
That's was the rest of the day. I ate one more time and slept.

It's been a few days since the whole I was sick thing, I been feeling better and my arms are fully functional. But Sai has been avoiding eye contact with me since. Maybe I should ask him about what happened, or not, but definitely I am going to ask.

Ok YA'LL again for the second time in a row, I'm so sorry for taking forever to post, it's just I've been busy, and also remember when I said that I would probably get bored wellll... it's one of the situations.
And a few more things like should I keep it you know safe, or make this a mature story. 😶
I'm talking about 🌽 of course if you didn't get that, if not then this is much mature content as it will go, by that I mean any other scenes will be just like this one hugging and kissing.
