"Rue, please wake up, I can't lose you, not right now, not in the middle of all of this. Please just wake up!" That was the first thing I heard. My head hurt and everything was blurry. It was hard to process what exactly was going on all at once, with the boys yelling my name and someone furiously shaking me awake.

"...Robin?" I didn't know if it was her shaking me, but I wanted her. Nobody else but her. I sat up and looked around, Robin holding me in her arms. It was her. My head was pounding, but I could stay like that in her arms forever.

"Rue! Hey, hey, are you okay?" It took me a moment to respond.

"Where's El..?" I couldn't see the girl anywhere in sight.

"What?" Mike asked me, immediately looking around for her.

"Eleven?" He began to yell.

"Eleven where are you?" Mike and Dustin were frantically looking for her.

"Rue, are you sure you're okay? You hit hard and I just wanna know that you're okay because if you're not then I-"

"Robin."

"Yeah?"

"I'm okay. I love it when you ramble on about something though like you are now."

"Really? Because all I'm doing is digging a hole for myself."

"It's cute-" Her face turned bright red, and we were both silent for a minute.

"Robin, I'm sorry if I-"

"No. Don't apologize. I think it's cute when you say consistently apologize like you are now. But to be honest that's not the only thing that's cute about you, especially your smile and your gorgeous eyes and- shit. I'm digging a hole for myself right now, aren't I?" Did she... did she like me back?

"GUYS! WE HAVE TO GO! EL IS MISSING!"

"What?"

"We're coming!"

Back at the Wheeler Family basement...

Now, it was dark outside, almost 9:00. Lucas and Dustin had gone home, but Robin had stayed with me. All three of us, Robin, Mike and I were sitting in the basement, trying to think where she could have gone in that short period of time.

"I just don't understand why she would do that," Mike spoke up.

"Mike, you do realize that she didn't mean to hurt me? She was trying to break you and Lucas up because she was scared. None of this is her fault, she didn't mean to do anything besides pull you two apart, but I was in the middle. If it's anybody's fault it's yours and Lucas'."

"Mine? He started it! Robin, you were there, back me up!"

"I gotta say, kid, he may have started the argument but you were the one who took him to the ground."

"Oh come on! You're just taking up for your girlfriend!"

"Girlfriend?" I wish.
