The previous night.

Police cars suddenly pulled up outside Chantelle Manor. The guests began feeling the same fear as when Kane Son's body was found in her room.

Kit heard the sirens and left his room to see what was happening. He was running around the halls and saw a large crowd piling up in a hallway he was very familiar with. His heart raced.

He slowly walked towards the spot, his hands forming into fists. His heart pounded faster as he got close. The opened door with barricade tapes--he knew exactly who lived there. "It can't be her," he told himself, dragging his feet to the scene.

"Please keep your distance!" One policeman shouted.

"Was someone murdered again?! You need to tell us what's going on! We're also guests here!" A man furiously shouted.

Hearing the word 'murder' made Kit pant uncontrollably. He walked faster and pushed every person in his way to get to the front. He stopped, and there he saw blood coming from Mirae's room. The sight of Kane, covered in blood, flashed in his mind. It looked almost the same as before.

Kit's lips trembled. He looked for Mirae inside, but the chalk outline of Mirae was the only trace left. He turned around and ran to the entrance. The guards haven't returned yet, so he could immediately go to the parking lot. "They'll take her to the nearest hospital. I-I'm sure they're already trying to save her." He held onto the wheel tighter when he felt his eyes getting warm. "I'm sure she's safe. Mirae will be okay." He stepped onto the pedal, speeding up to get to the hospital faster.

"She must be in the operating room!" Kit suddenly heard while running towards the hospital's entrance. He turned to the people behind him and saw Lloyd, Fin, and Swan rushing out of a cab. The three were too in a hurry and didn't notice Kit in front of them. They passed by him, running to the operating room.

Kit followed them and stopped, seeing a bunch of people already waiting outside. He was about to continue walking to join them, but he doubted if he deserved to be there. He looked at the door where the operation was taking place and hoped it was going well.

Suddenly, Swan turned around and left Lloyd and Fin. Kit went out of the way and thought of hiding behind a pillar. Swan was walking away from the room as he ran to hide. As he was in a rush, he accidentally bumped into a man who had his eyes locked on him. Kit slowed down and took a good look at the man. Before seeing his face clearly, the man turned around and continued walking. But, Kit noticed a strap dangling from his jacket's pocket. The corner of a rectangular object was also peeking. It looked like an ID.

Kit grasped the situation and left the hospital against his will. As much as he wanted to see how the operation would turn out, he had to go before it got complicated again. If he keeps lingering around Mirae, they'll eventually think he's planning something terrible and keep him away from her even after she wakes up. The least he could do was pray for her recovery.
