Three days passed.

"The police have a lead!" Swan exclaims as she enters the convenience store. "They didn't see him entering Mirae's room from inside, but they found him climbing up to her window. No one caught him because he took the back route. People rarely take that road." She sat across from Lloyd and Fin. "I strongly feel it was the guy in a blue jacket."

"He's skilled enough to climb a building? Are there any professional wall climbers in the building? Or someone who's just very active?" Fin asked.

"Those questions won't point us to that man. We need to know who has something against Mirae," Lloyd suggested.

--

Winnie immediately left the room after receiving the text from Mirae's mom. She was running in the hallway when Lloyd stepped out of the elevator. "Ms. Park?" He called when Winnie passed by.

Winnie widened her eyes, seeing the person she was looking for. "Lloyd! Mirae's on her way here to get her stuff." She sighed, looking down. "It seems like they're leaving the hotel after what happened."

Lloyd furrowed his brows. "Hold on. On her way here? When did she wake up? She got discharged already?"

"I didn't know she woke up too. All her mom said was they were coming. They gave me a heads up, so I could talk to Mirae before leaving. You should follow me. I'm sure she wants to talk to you too. They'll be here in around five minutes." Winnie led the way to the hotel's lounge.

Lloyd clearly remembered Mirae's words from before. She looked very discouraged because of the issue with Kit's case. She'd want someone to help her with her case, right? I should ask about that man, at least.

They arrived at the café and waited for Mirae and her parents to arrive. Winnie anxiously watched the passing cars, hoping it would be them already. "This is the first time one of the families other than the Sons left the hotel. I guess Mirae's family chose their daughter over their business." Lloyd wondered.

"I grew up with Mirae, so I know how much her parents care about her. They're very strict, but that's because Mirae's an only child. They do their best to train and give her everything she needs to inherit the company without any trouble. The only problem is they don't allow Mirae to move on her own. They think she should always follow their suggestions to become the perfect heiress. Mirae will always be stuck with them because of that. That's what worries me." Winnie smiled bitterly. "You probably know this already, but most families here care about their children's future the most. That's why we're all gathered here in Chantelle Manor."

"But, I think someone doesn't like that idea," Lloyd suddenly said. "Someone keeps making trouble, involving the young guests. I still couldn't figure out why Kane Son got murdered. Was it jealousy? Grudge? Revenge? Or was it because she found out something she shouldn't have?"

"What do you mean by that?" Does he know that Kane was looking for someone? Winnie thought.

"I was still in charge of the case when I found out about it. Kane Son found a burner phone and retrieved the messages. The owner asked someone to dispose of something. I've been asking about that, but I have no idea where she got that phone."
