Chapter Six Meeting Frisk and twins Kris and Ness. Layla's point of view

I wake up feeling an itch in my soul and the need to go somewhere and do something. I know Blank feels it too and when asked I can't explain it because I don't know and sometimes without even thinking about it I or Blank or even both of us would follow the pull. "I can explain." "Core!" Geno yelps, nearly dropping Blank. He takes a calming breath before facing the Seahorse Mer. "Please...a little more warning and a little less surprise. We went over this the last three times." "Apologies. My perception of time is nonlinear so I may not retain information like preferences or birthdays." Core lets out a mournful sigh through their Void-eyes remains distant and endless. "It's always the birthdays..." Cross clears his throat. "You said you could explain?" "Ah. Yes. That." Core looks the closest they can get to being embarrassed. "Apologies. I tend to lose my train of thought easily. Right now, it is pupping season for Harp Seals, which is why Blank and Layla have the urge to go North. Harp Seal selkie pups at a young age have the urge to return to their birthplace where they are safe and at home." The time-scattered mage glances at Blank. "Even if Blank wasn't born in the North, a part of them would always feel that way." Geno looks concerned. "Would Blank prefer to live there?" Not at all traveling isn't even necessary but it is preferable we all agree to go because it would be easier than keeping me and Blank on a leash 24/7. When we get there we lose Blank and Me and Geno find him with a ribbon seal selkie named Percy. I still feel that instinctual urge to do something though so I wonder off after letting Geno memorize my scent and just look around. I eventually come across a selkie colony and was knocked over by a strangely familiar female harp seal selkie. Soon it hits me literally that this is my twin sister Frisk that I was forced to leave as an infant to protect me. We hear someone calling to us and Frisk blushes as it turns out it was her intended mate Lucifer who instinctively makes me uncomfortable because he is technically unmated bull selkie even though he is only interested in my sister. It takes me a few minutes to relax enough for him to relax and we eventually make it to the colony and see my older brother and Mia's twin Alexander and his mate X who looking at him makes a chuckle come out that eventually makes me crack up after calming down I let X smell me to get my scent and then he starts laughing as well. Turns out X is Cross's twin brother that Xgaster got rid of sometime before I arrived. He is in a hole that connects to the sea. All he has to do is swim down and out. Anyway my parents came and greeted me and asked what happened to Mia so I explained what happened to her but nothing else not wanting to overwhelm them on the first meeting in over 18 years. I ask them to come with me when I hear someone else call out to me and find its a nursery caretaker and they ask practically beg me to come with them to see if I could adopt these twin ringed seal selkies infants as they refuse food from anyone they want to see if they will drink my milk which normally is a very rude thing to ask but I could tell they were getting desperate. When we get there I fall in love instantly with the pups and shift up to my neck and they actually accept my milk which makes me happy then I start to groom then thinking Nighty's not going to be happy but he'll understand that this is the only way as they are my pups now. As I have imprinted on them and them on me. After the smaller one finishes the bigger gets their fill and while I CHECK them for injuries and malnutrition I found none but they have names the bigger ones name is Kris and the smaller ones name is Ness. I sigh happily and shift back and pick Ness up while Frisk picks up Kris and we head back to Alexander and X only to find Geno and Blue with them. Geno sighs when we show up while Blue giggles. I just smiled sheepishly and sat the Ness down to play with their sibling after Frisk sat down Kris. Soon though we decided to head back and well here we are. Me and Frisk give the pups to Geno and Blue after which Frisk just kinda stumbles away in her shock after seeing how big Nightmare is it makes me chuckle slightly and then I explain why I came back with pups and after sighing Nightmare said yes that I could adopt them. The reason I ask is because while I wouldn't abandon them it's really just about if we could care about them properly and food resources. We put them on the ship with Kelp and me, Geno and Blue and take them back to my home with us. And while we are on the way back Ness and Kris play with Blank and it's so cute it makes me smile gently and when I do I sense something behind me and when I look behind me I see Dream behind smiling just as softly. When I made eye contact with him he turned away with a bright yellow blush and I giggled with a shake of my head. He's so cute. Time skip to when we get back to Kelp's home. When we returned we got to my cave to try and teach the pups to swim and when we do the pups actually started swimming expertly and even started breathing under water. Well seams like these children are mixed breeds.
