I shortly heard a knock on my window so i ran over and opened it. 'Steve?!' i was shocked. 'What are you doing here?' 'I came to see you, did you really think I was gonna leave my best friend in here. bored and alone?' he laughed. 'What if my dad hears you?' i was scared of what he would do. 'Please, he won't, I'm like a ninja.' I burst out laughing before steve covered my mouth with his hand 'shush. he's gonna get suspicious y/n.' I stopped laughing and sat on my bed. 'Oh! y/n, I sent an application into scoops ahoy for you. So you finally have a job!' 'What oh my gosh. You did that for me?' 'Well duh, it's what friends do.' i sighed, friends. After a few hours of talking I couldn't take it anymore. We were silent, I looked at his lips then back into his eyes, I went for it. I kissed him. I got scared for a moment and pulled away. That's when he kissed me back. We made out for around 2 minutes. And it was the best 2 minutes of my life. After that Steve left. I blushed so hard and could barely sleep I was so excited for work tomorrow.

I got changed into my scoops ahoy uniform and went downstairs. I told my dad Steve was coming to get me for work. 'What happened to Billy?' he asked looking at me with an eyebrow raised. 'I.. I don't like Billy anymore' 'GOOD' I heard El shout from the other room. it went silent for a moment before my dad asked again 'so.. what's the deal with you and this Harrington boy?' i looked at him confused 'What are you talking about? we're just friends?' 'Friends don't drive halfway across town and come to your room at 11pm just to say hi. He likes you y/n.' I looked at him, he knew Steve came to my room last night? i was confused but i looked away and blushed before there was a knock at the door. He opened the door for me 'Wow, what a gentleman Harrington.' I joked around. 'Only for you, Princess' he laughed. We were singing along to his songs and for the first time in forever I felt happy. As we stopped for a red light I was laughing and i looked out the window and I seen Billy. He was staring over, he seemed sad. But it's what he deserves. As we eventually got to the mall I asked Steve a question, 'Steve? About last night. What does this mean for us.. are we still "best friends" or are we something more?'
