Sam cleared his throat, making Kat snap out of her bored trance in the backseat, and Dean raise an eyebrow.
"What is it Sammy? What'cha find?" Dean asked, behind the wheel of his beloved Impala.
"Okay, so, signs of Leviathan have been flaring up all over here..." Dean glanced at the map Sam had out, and where he was pointing, Kat leaning forward to look as well after jumping at the mention of the human-eating monster, causing Sam to stare at her confused, "Why'd you jump? Leviathans scare you that much?"
Kat nodded softly, leaning back in her seat, and Sam chuckled softly at her, "Don't worry, I won't let one get you. That'll be easier now that we know what hurts 'em." He picked up a small box of Borax from the passenger floor, handing it to Kat, who quickly threw it onto the seat next to her. Dean raised an eyebrow at her, to which she nervously laughed,
"Sorry, the box was... sticky. It felt weird."
"Ah. Okay." He focused back on the road, turning on the radio and flipping through the stations, un-able to find a song he enjoyed, so he decided to just shut off the radio. Sam gave him a 'we need to talk' look, and Dean nodded, shooting him a 'wait 'till she falls asleep' and nodding softly towards Kat. Sam sighed, slumping in his seat slightly. Nobody had thought of bringing any entertainment devices, so it was a quiet and awkward ride. After about an hour in the silence, Kat had fallen asleep, and Dean nudged Sam.
"You wanted to talk about Kat, right? Well, she's asleep now..."
"Oh, yeah." He sat up, "Dean, when I gave her the Borax, the handle wasn't sticky at all. It just had a sprinkle of Borax on it."
"Mh-hm, and?... Are you of all people suggesting she's a Leviathan?"
"Maybe.... yes..." Sam looked back at Kat.
"Makes sense... but do Leviathans even sleep?" Dean asked, confusing himself as well. They had never seen a sleeping Leviathan, "Hm..."
After a moment of thinking, they gave up, and Sam's eyes shifted to look out the window to see the street lights flickering, and some shot sparks, and shortly after exploded leaving parts of the strait road completely dark. Without warning, Castiel fell out of a bush and into the road, blood on his clothes and cuts and bruises on his face and arms. Dean immediately slammed on the brakes, and the brothers stumbled out of the car, Kat somehow still being asleep.
"Cas! What happened?" Dean asked worriedly, helping him up. Said angel coughed, before jerking his head to look behind him, then looking back at Dean,
"Something's after me... I have no idea what it is, but it's very powerful. It said it's name was Haley..."
"Uh, okay... Let's start with easy questions. What did it look like?" Sam questioned, and Cas pondered for a moment.
"It had... wavy orange hair,... yellow eyes that were mostly covered by it's bangs... and it looked young..." he described, "I only got a few glimpses of it."
"That's okay, Cas, we need all the info we can get." Dean patted his shoulder softly, and Sam nodded, shortly after, Dean spoke again, "If you had to guess, how old was it?"
"It looked about... 7 years old..." It hurt his head to remember, he really only had one good picture of her in his mind.
"So let me get this straight- you let a 7 year old girl beat you up?" Dean shook his head, and Cas quickly jumped to his defense-
"I didn't let her beat me up, Dean! I tried smiting her, and that didn't work either." The small smirk that played Dean's lips faded quickly, and a young girl, looking how Cas described, was suddenly in front of the bush Cas fell out of.
"Shit." Dean said simply, and Cas freaked out a bit.
"Thats her! Run!" He yelled, and Dean slowly took Cas's arm.
"Just play with me!" She yelled. Dean, nodding to Sam dashed back to the Impala, Sam right behind and Dean shoved Cas in the backseat, and Sam sat shotgun, Dean driving shortly after throwing Cas in the back. He pressed on the gas, speeding away from the orange haired girl. When he looked at her, he could swear he could see tears rolling down her cheeks, and burns on her arms, but they didn't look like something Cas would give.
"Wait, so Cas, a sad, beat up young girl beat you up?" Dean asked, not daring to slow down the Impala.
"Yes... I was powerless. I couldn't fight back Dean."
"Thank God you ran into us then."
"I thought I was going to die." He turned around, looking for the orange haired girl, but she had disappeared. When he turned his head back foreward, he saw Haley sitting next to him, and he yelped in surprise, waking Kat up.
"What? What's going on?" She asked, confused. When she saw Haley, she jumped, "Who's that?"
"She says her name is Haley." Cas said, trembling slightly. He couldn't smite her, and by just a touch she burned his skin badly. Sadly for the angel, she grabbed his arm, and he hissed in pain, steam already coming from where she held his arm,
"Why won't you play with me?!" She yelled angrily, and the Impala stopped. The driver- Dean, spun around angrily,
"You little bitch! What'd you do to baby?!" When he shouted, she seemed to get angrier,
"That's not a nice word!"
"I don't give a shit! You fucked with baby!!"
Her soft yellow eyes slowly grew to a deep red as she grew angrier at him, and lightning flashed outside, rain starting to pour down. Suddenly her angry expression was replaced with a scared one, and her eyes turned a grey-ish yellow and she disappeared after a quick glance at the window. All heads turned to the window, and when the lightning struck again, they could see a mid-aged woman, with a creepy wide smile staring in at them. Kat was shaking a bit next to Cas- she had an idea on what Haley was. When the next lightning struck, she was gone. Kat gulped nervously and scaredly,
"Sh-shit."
