Chapter 4 ( the boy called Helen)

"So why am I here?" Rachel asked carefully. "you're here to answer a few questions. regarding the disappearance of your sister..... Chelsea Hart". The detective stated calmly. "What the hell fo you mean she's missing?" Rachel asked slightly panicking. "Try to calm yourself, Miss Hart. I understand your confusion. But someone filed the report

on a missing person. but then again this is a small town. so it would be only a matter of time before something like this would happen". The detective said Softly. Rachel thought for a moment. Truth be told she hadn't seen her since last night. when she was talking to a customer about a paintbrush. she hadn't seen her since. but she assumed she just went home. But she texted her an hour after sh-.... wait."She texted me an hour after I got home. saying that she was skipping town. She told me to look after the shop but I didn't think-."1 Rachel said that she was cut off by the

detective. "Do you really belive that? Cause if thats true. Why was her car still outside the shop?" Rachel didn't know the answer to that question. but she agreed that it didn't add up. and if she really was missing. she could be in danger. "I guess. I'm going to be here for a while." Rachel thought to herself. as she stared at the detective. who's eyes were practically watching her every move as if she try something.

You waited at the end of the stairs. waiting for Jackie to finish getting ready. so you guys could leave the house. you both agreed that exploring the town. was better than staying at the house. "Jackie are you almost done in there?" you asked From the stairs. "yep almost". Jackie replied. about six minutes later she came down looking shockingly different. now Jackie always wore her uniform. or her pajamas around the house. she never wore anything

different. but I guess after quitting. A change is needed. Jackie wore a red and black plaid cardigan. with a gray tank top under it. she wore black leggings. With blue jean shorts over them. the finishing touch was some bracelets. on both of her wrists. and some combat boots. A silent 'wow' left your lips as you watched jackie walk. You saw her hair was down. instead of the up due. that she always wore. you watched as she grabbed her purse. and waited for you to follow her. you snapped out of your daze. and followed her. you got into the passenger side. And you both drove to town.

Jackie parked at the sidewalk. as you got out of the passenger side. you couldn't help but admire the beauty of Sawyer County. the Sun was shining, the air was warm , and the blue sky was a site to behold. "God it's bright out here." Jackie said as she looked at you. "are you even the same person?" you asked her playfully. "oh wow. just because I decided to change out of my uniform. and take my hair down I'm suddenly an alien?"

Jackie replied sarcastically. "pretty much yeah". you said with a chuckle. oh har. har....... "you want to get some ice cream? I heard it's really good." Jackie said with a smile. you couldn't help but smile and agree. soon after that. you decided to take a seat. at one of the tables outside the ice cream shop. as you basically people watched  for a while. waiting for Jackie to take the orders for ice cream. As you looked around. a certain boy caught your eye. he had to be around 5,9. he

had Jet black hair like Jackie's. He had beatiful light blue eyes. and wore a Blue Jacket. but had a small yellow smiley face on the side. accompanied with a black shirt and black jeans. Anf blue converse. He looks to be painting something on a canvas. But you couldn't help but get more invested. Before Jackie walked up to you. taking you out of your daze. "ice creams here." Jackie said playfully. "are you okay". she asked "oh yeah. I'm fine just...." you trailed off. Jackie follow your gaze. "go talk to him" Jackie said With a smile. "I can't just randomly walk up to some guy!

what if he's creepo!" You whispered yelled. "okay. it's either you're going over there. or I'm going to tell him you've been staring at him for the past 30 minutes. and then I'm going to give you his number". Jackie responded nonchalantly. you couldn't help but blush out of embarrassment. "fine" you said with a glare. as you slowly approached the boy.  "Uhh H-hi. what are you painting?" you cursed yourself for stuttering. he looked

at you shyly. "just the sky. it looks really pretty today so why not." The boy said softly. he seemed really shy. and you can't help but smile.  "yeah I agree. it's really pretty today. I'm y/n by the way. what's your name." You said with smile "oh I'm-..... Just call me Helen. Helen Otis." He replide with small smile. God  he was so polite. You blushed lightly as you sat next to him.  hours passed and you and Helen continuously talked about many topics. leaving Jackie to stare at you from afar. making sure he

wasn't a creep. but to Jackie's surprise. he didn't try anything with you. but you decided to go ahead and bite the bullet. "you know if you want. we could start hanging out more. would it be okay if I got your number". you asked him quietly. his expression grew dark as he hesitated. "I-I don't know. look your really sweet and all. but...... I'm sorry I-I got to go" he then grabs paint supplies. and left leaving you alone. you walked over to  Jackie silently. "hey are you okay?" Jackie asked. "yeah I'm alright".  it was around Sunset when you got home when you both went inside.

You both saw Rachel sitting at the kitchen table. bawling her eyes out. "oh my God Rachel!" you shouted. "what the hell happened." Jackie asks with a hint of anger in her tone. "it's Chelsea she's missing! the police think she's been kidnapped! or-or worse! I don't know what to do!" Rachel said. Through broken sobs. "hey, hey. it's alright we're going to get through this. we have to remember that Chelsea is a very strong and loving person. just like you. she can get out of

this." Jackie said calmly. Rachel nodded. "come on let's watch a movie". You said Softly. guiding Rachel to the couch. It was like that for the rest of the night. you, Rachel ,and Jackie. stayed in living room together. falling asleep to Korean dramas. however Jackie didn't fall asleep immediately. for her mind kept wandering. "how many people go missing before I'm one of them". She thought as she drifted off the arms of sleep..........
