Chapter 7 ( the funeral)

The next couple days went as normal.
Jackie and y/n went to school. while Rachel stayed at home. which was reasonable considering she was preparing for funeral for her sister. Rachel was also moving out. she just couldn't stay and Hayward anymore. a couple Summers back. Chelsea and
Rachel moved to Hayward together. to take over her Grandpa and Grandma's old antique shop. (that also sold donated items and collectibles.) and every time Rachel was on campus. she just kept seeing

Chelsea's face. So she decided to move back to her hometown in Tennessee known as Tullahoma. Jackie tried to keep Rachel calm. While you helped her move. eventually the day of the funeral came. Her ashes were spread around   the woods of Nicollet National Forest.  and needless to say Jackie wasn't doing too well. you looked at Jackie curiously. before Rachel got on the stand. "Chelsea was a beautiful, smart, incredible big sister that I ever had. it's a

shame we had to see her go. but I hope that God above. will guide her to where she needs to go." Rachel said though broken sobs.  in the end you ended up moving Rachel off the stand. trying to keep her calm. as she sobbed and cried. you looked up at Jackie. who was now hyperventilating. at first you thought it was all the people. I mean Jackie never really liked crowds. but then you followed her gaze. she was staring at a campsite? "Jackie are you oka-"  I'm fine I-I just-......... I need to go to the car. Rachel I am sorry for your loss. if you need anything call me. Jackie said giving rachel a hug walking away." you didn't stop Jackie. But you are definitely going to ask her about this later.....

The drive home was a blur for Jackie. literally. tears were streaming down her face. it was so hard to see. Jackie tried to calm herself down the best she could. before she immediately turned up the radio. as an alternative rock song came on. ( song at the top) she hummed along to the lyrics. before she finally made it home. she flung open the door and sat down on the couch. As she waited for the movers to arrive. shortly after the funeral was ove.r

you and Rachel were talking. before Rachel suddenly handed you in a yellow envelope and a pen. "give this to Jackie" Rachel said calmly. you immediately knew what this was for. Rachel was handing over the shop to Jackie.  Not only was it Chelsea's. but Rachel couldn't work there anymore.  so Rachel had decided to hand it over to Jackie. you wanted to protest. but you could understand her grief. so you didn't intervene. when you drove up to

the house without Rachel. you notice the movers getting the last of Rachel stuff. and Jackie signing a clip board before she paid the movers as they left.  you
got out of the car and ran up to Jackie. pulling her into your arms. as she cried. Hours later you both fell asleep on the couch. crying over the loss of Chelsea. and the fact that Rachel was gone as well.......

Things have been different since Rachel moved out. Jackie had accepted to taking over the antique shop. so Jackie wasn't home until 8:00. But you were home by 3:00. so you and Jackie didn't get to spend a lot of time together. And to make up for it Jackie would treat you to get some coffee. or ice cream. So it worked out. currently you were at school sitting under a tree writing down some

music notes. memorizing them so you could play them in class. next period to impress your teacher. Sunddenly a certain voice got your attention. "hello, y/n. Helen said calmly with a smile. you looked up at him. "Hi Helen". you said with a small blush. ever since school  started. you and Helen have become the most unlikely friends. at first he was a bit awkward and shy around you. and he tried to avoid you during the first weak at school. you assumed it was because you were weird. or because of your insecurities. but he reassured you it wasn't  and that he just wasn't used to being friends with other people. but you

didn't question it. ever since then. he's been hanging out with you Non-Stop. if he wasn't around. You were with Jackie. but soon after becoming friends with him. you noticed that Jackie never really got a chance to meet him. but you planned to make them meet eventually. "so have you been"? you said to Helen. as he just sketched out two people talking across from the two of you. "oh nothing much... I've just been drawing and sketching. but the real reason why I came over here was not to just spend some quality time with you. I noticed your failing.

in chemistry so I was wondering. maybe tonight I could tutor you." it was true. you were falling behind in chemistry. but what got to you was how he found out. you hadn't told anyone except Jackie. and Jackie planned on tutoring you but her schedule was in the way so she couldn't fit you in.
