Chapter 9: Protecting Each Other

"Gyeongsu's pregnant."

The room is full of silence when they told us Gyeongsu is pregnant. "How is Gyeongsu pregnant when he is a guy?" Isak asked the three of them since she is confused. You are not alone Isak.

"By then having unprotected sex and Gyeongsu having a uterus and a penis." Namra explained and everyone is now looking at me. "Daehyun, did you and Gyeongsu had sex before the apocalypse happened?" Joonyeong asked me and I told them the truth.

"Yes, Gyeongsu and I had sex before this happened. We were friends with benefits until I asked him to be my boyfriend when we were in the audio room." I told everyone and they are smiling now.

"I know you two are young, but I support you guys since I see you guys as my children." Mrs.Park told Gyeongsu and I, and we also got support from our friends.

Now we are discussing how we are going to the rooftop without disturbing the zombies. Then they came up with the idea that they did in the audio room.

We are barricading half of the room with desks, chairs, and instruments. I was about to open the door when Gyeongsu stopped me.

"You've already done so much Daehyun, let me open the door." He told me and I agreed.

"Daehyun, why is Eunji after you?" Gyeongsu asked me and I told him everything.

Once Namra gave us the all clear, Gyeongsu opened the door and we made it to the others before the zombies could get us.

Wujin is by the door telling us if the hallway is clear or not. We are making all kind of noises to draw the zombie's attention.

Once we got the all clear from Wujin, we left the room one by one until we made it towards the door for the rooftop.

Suhyeok, Cheongsan, and I are fighting the zombies until we saw Eunji holding a zombie's head. She threw it at us and started heading towards us.

We are fighting her until Namra grabbed her neck. "Why aren't you dead?" Namra asked all frustrated and threw Eunji in a pit of zombies. Joonyeong, Wujin, Isak, Mrs.Park, and Jimin threw a tarp in top of the zombies and the door finally opened.

We are now on the rooftop only to see a helium leaving. Damn you military. We are waving at the helicopter to get their attention, but that didn't work.

We gave up and started making the S.O.S sign out of wood. I look at Gyeongsu who is rubbing his stomach. Cute.

I went to Gyeongsu and gave him a back hug. He smiled once he knew it was me who is hugging him.

"Daehyun, do you think the baby will be a boy or a girl?" He asked me knowing this is an once in a life time opportunity for us.

"I think the baby will be a boy." I responded having a gut feeling the baby will be a boy.

Gyeongsu agreed with me and we went to our friends helping them making the S.O.S sign.

No matter what the circumstances are, I will do anything to protect my boyfriend and our baby, my brother, and my friends. And I know they would to anything to protect me.
