Bonus 10: We Can Finally Go Home

Daehyun's POV:

Gyeongsu and I are in our room playing with Minhyuk. I can't believe our baby is a month old now. It seems like yesterday when Namra told the gang and I that Gyeongsu was pregnant while we were fighting for survival. We heard the door open revealing Gwinam and Changmin.

"Guys, the military wants everyone to go outside since they have an announcement to make." Gwinam informed us, while Changmin was playing peek-a-boo with Minhyuk from where he was standing.

"Alright, we will meet you guys outside. Thank you for telling us Gwinam." I thanked Gwinam and they left to go outside. Gyeongsu looked at me and I could tell he's nervous.

"Daehyun, why do they want us to go outside?" Gyeongsu asked me and I don't blame him.

"I don't know, hopefully they could tell us some good news." I responded to his question. We got up and Gyeongsu picked up Minhyuk so we could meet the others outside.

We made it outside and spotted our friends. We made our way towards them and we stood next to Cheongsan.

"What do you think they are going to announce?" I asked Cheongsan, hoping he would know the answer. Unfortunately, that was not the case when he shook his head. Damn you Lee Cheongsan. I was about to smack his head when I saw my dad at the podium.

"Citizens of Hyosan, you guys are probably wondering why we called you guys out here? Well, we have an important announcement to make. After being here in a quarantine camp for ten months, we were able to find the cure for the Jonas Virus, meaning every single one of you can leave camp and go home." Everyone started cheering after my dad made his announcement. I can't believe it, we could finally go home after being stuck here for ten months.

"Pack your bags Gyeongsu, we could finally go home." I told myself as I am witnessing Gyeongsu celebrating the wonderful news my dad shared with my friends and my brother.

I was standing at the entrance of the camp as my friends were heading in different directions. Suhyeok and Cheongsan are going Cheongsan's Chicken to help Cheongsan's mom to clean up the restaurant so they can have a grand re-opening, Namra and Onjo are going to the Nam family apartment with Soju, Joonyeong and Wujin are going to the Oh family apartment to spend time with each other as a married, Baekhyun and Ingoo are following them since they are young to live on their own, Hari and Mijin are heading to the Jang family apartment probably complaining about college, well, mainly Mijin, Daesu and Hyroyung are going to a flower shop to collect flowers for those who passed away, Jimin and Isak are following Namra and Onjo so they could hang out with them, Jinsu and Minjae are going home to figure out how Byeongchan created the virus, Mrs.Park is going home to clear her mind after everything that has happened for the past ten months, and Gwinam and Changmin are heading home with Jaeik and Daesung since Jaeik officially adopted the Kim brothers and Gwinam still wants to be with Changmin.

"You know Daehyun, I'm proud of you for leading your brother and your friends to survival. And I'm proud of you for being in a relationship with Gyeongsu. Oh, and thank you for giving me a grandson, even though you two are young." Dad told me as he put his hand on my shoulder.

"Thanks dad," I replied. We smiled and he patted my shoulder.

"No problem kid, see you at home." Dad said and he left to go home. Yeah, Gyeongsu and I are going to my place so my dad could help us with Minhyuk.

"Are you ready to go home Daehyun?" I heard Gyeongsu asking me. I smiled seeing him and our son. Another reason I am happy about is that Gyeongsu and I can raise our son without fearing the zombies would come after us.

"Yeah, I'm ready to go home." I answered.

I held his hand and we are now heading home. Ten months ago, we were trying everything to survive the zombie apocalypse. Now, we can go home knowing there is now a cure. Even though we lost so many people, I am happy that my family and friends survived, and I will forever cherish that.
