-Lacey-

"UNCLE JESUS!" I screamed as I tried to find him but I bumped into Grandma Stef. "Grandma!" I said as I wrapped my arms around her.

"Hey there, slugabug!" She said as she picked me and wrapped her arms around me as she planted a kiss on my cheek. "How is my little Lace going?"

"Mama and Dada left, and told me to go find uncle Jesus because he has LEGO." I said in an excited tone and Grandma Stef nodded.

"He has gone out, baby." Grandma Stef said as she carried me to the kitchen where Uncle Jude was working on work for his school. I waved to him as she sat me next to him.

"Can I still play LEGO?" I whispered innocently and she giggled as she gave me a plate of egg and bacon chopped up.

"I will see what I can do but right now, you need to eat and I will call your Mama." I nodded as I got my princess fork and ate as Jude did his work before leaving to go to school. Grandpa Stef was talking to Mama on the phone and she looked concerned. Maybe she is just upset that Mama and Dada left without telling her. She came back with a smile. "Mama told me that she wanted you bathed." I whined to be funny and she poked my nose. "You love bath time, Lacey!"

"I know!" I said with a whine and a giggle. "I love water and I also love to whine!"

"Smart cookie!" And I nodded in agreement as I finished my breakfast and orange juice.

"Can I play LEGO now!" I said as Grandma Stef finished brushing my curly hair out.

"Jesus will be home soon, how about we go see Grandma Lena at her work for lunch?" Grandma Stef questioned softly. "We can pack some lunch and eat on the beach?"

"Okay!" I said now excited about the lunch at the beach then the LEGO. I ran downstairs to the kitchen and Grandma Stef followed behind. "Peanut butter and Jelly." I yelled as I pointed to the jar that was high up. So high up that I couldn't reach it. There is a reason for that. I am addicted to it and I grabbed the container and ate it all.

"Okay, slugabug!" She said as she reached for it and placed it on the bench. She picked me up and sat me on it too. "Don't tell Grandma Lena!" I used my finger and pretended to zip my lips. Grandma Stef opened it up and offered it to me. I dipped my finger into it and took a swipe. I popped it in my mouth and smiled.

"Yum. Yum!" I exclaimed as I rubbed my stomach showing my love for peanut butter and jelly. And Grandma Stef started to make the sandwiches then cut up some fruit. And she packed some juices and water into a picnic basket.

"Ready to rumble?" I nodded and she put me on the ground. She grabbed the basket in one hand and my hand in her other. We walked to Grandma Lena's work which was a school that I could attend when I turn 6 years old for my kindergarten. And it is on the beach!

-Callie-

"I am so stressed right now." I whispered to Brandon. "And maybe that is why I have that bump on me." Brandon wrapped his arm around me and kissed my cheek.

"You are going to be okay, Cals." Brandon exclaimed and I nodded but my nerves weren't going to calm down until I know I don't have what I hope I don't have.

"Callie Jacob Foster?" I shakily got up with Brandon's help and Dr Kat guided us to her office. "Sorry for the long wait."

"It's okay." Brandon said for me and I took his hand.

"Please just tell me that I don't have a tumor and it is just a bump." I said with a forced smile and she looked at me sadly.

"It is a bump, Callie." Dr Kat whispered with a sad smile. "And it is cancerous." My world just started to spin when the next words came out of her mouth. "And it is spreading quickly."

"What does that mean, Dr?" Brandon whispered as I fell limp into arms and started to cry.

"It means if Callie wants to fight this then she is going to have to go into treatment before Saturday night." And today is Wednesday.

"I have a little girl." I cried out softly as Brandon held me tighter. "I can't die."

"Callie-" Brandon tried to calm me down but I just freaked out.

"You must of got it wrong!" I screamed as I stood up. "I cannot possibly have cancer. It isn't possible." Dr Kat and Brandon stood up.

"I am sorry, Callie." Dr Kat stated softly. "Go home and rest, okay?"

"Don't tell me what to do! You are wrong!" I yelled and ran out after grabbing my purse to the car. Brandon quickly followed after thanking Dr Kat. What is he thanking that Doctor for? She has made a mistake. A terrible, terrible mistake.

-

We drove home in silence as I tried to block out what I have been told. He packed into the driveway and took my hand. "We are going to fight this, Callie together." I looked at him with teary eyes. "You are going to fight this battle. You are so strong."

"No." I shook my head as tears fell down my eyes. "I am not strong."

"Callie, you know that isn't true." Brandon said as he shook his head then smiled at me. "You have been through hell and back, and you have survived through so much when most wouldn't."

"Barely." I said as I shook my head as I looked away from me. "Barely survived."

"You are going to fight this." Brandon said in his no nonsense voice. "You have a little girl who needs her Mama and you got a husband who needs his wife." I slowly looked at him and he looked so broken. "Please, Cally. Do this for us if not for you." We sat in silence and I nodded.

"Okay." I said and wrapped my arms around him into a hug. "I want to fight this for our family."

"I believe in you." Brandon whispered and I giggled. "And I love you!"

"I love you too." I whispered to him as we stayed in the hug for a few minutes before getting out and heading inside.
