Glowering down at the man as he slowly turned into ashes. Rolling my eyes as a maid handed me a towel, grabbing it as I wiped my hands.
"Clean this mess." I ordered, the maids nodded their heads and obeyed.
Exhaling a breath as I walked in the hallway, the voice of a young kid called me.
"Mistress."
Raising my eyebrow as I turned around seeing Noah and Donna both holding each other's hands approached me.
Both of them holding a white rose, Noah looked at me with a wide smile while his twin avoided my eyes, shaking in fear.
"What is it?" I asked, Noah's smile widened as he handed me the white rose, nudging his sister, Donna looked at me as our eyes met.
Her eyes widened and slowly handed me the flower with her trembling hands.
"Come on, you can say it." Noah said, encouraging his sister.
"I... I just wanted to say thank you... Thank you for saving me." Donna shyly muttered, Noah nodded his head and looked at her proudly.
"You're welcome." I replied.
"Father picked those roses." Noah said as he looked at me.
Nodding my head as I leaned towards them, lightly patting their heads.
"Ask for some snacks from the Chef." I said, Noah quickly nodded his head and tiptoed to place a kiss on my cheek.
"Thank you so much, Mistress." He stated, sincerely.
Nodding my head once again, Donna bravely looked me in the eyes and gave me a smile with a faint tint of pink on her cheeks. The two of them left hand in hand as I stared at their retreating figures.
I was about to continue to walk when sudden blurry images flashed in my mind.
Gasping as my head begins to throb, a curse escapes my lips. Slowly exhaling and inhaling a breath, trying to relax myself.
"What the fuck was that?" I mumbled, shaking my head as I entered my room.
As the maids quickly prepare a bath. Ava undressed my soiled dress and untied my hair, helping me get in the tub, closing my eyes as I leaned my head at the edge of the tub, exhaling a sigh as the hot water touched my body.
"Bathing without me?" Frederick teased as the maids bowed and immediately left.
"I always bathe without you." I replied, hearing him chuckle.
"Can I join you?" He whispered, opening my eyes as I turned my head to my side as our eyes met.
"What benefit would that do to me?" I asked, raising my eyebrow at him as he stood up and started to undress himself.
"A lot more than you can think of." He answered and joined me, settled himself behind me as he massaged my arm, leaning my head to his shoulders as a hum escaped my lips.
"They're slowly crumbing." He stated, a smirk appeared on my lips.
"As they should." I replied as Frederick placed a tablet down and flicked his hand, a hologram of a news article regarding what the casualties in Lagos displaying.
"11 Wakandans were among those killed during a confrontation between the Avengers and a group of mercenaries in Lagos, Nigeria, last month. The traditionally reclusive Wakandans were on an outreach mission in Lagos when the attack occurred." The news anchor said.
"Our people's blood is spilled on foreign soil. Not only because of the actions of criminals, but by the indifference of those pledged to stop them. Victory at the expense of the innocent, is no victory at all."
