Mk quickly jumps out of the tiny noodle shop to take care of the screaming that erupts outside. Multiple civilians yell about a large firey being coming towards the city but now it was nowhere to be seen. Mk climbs the nearest building to scope out the bright red blur that slowly fades over a hill. he vaults toward the hill with his staff, as he flew toward the hill, he finally made out the silhouette of Red son as his aggressive flames slowly fade into the tips of his tightly tied back hair. Mk gracefully lands in front of Red and holds his staff to his face.

"Red son! I am here to stop you from destroying the city further! Retreat or face the wrath of the one and only Monkie kid!" he exlaims confidently. Red son continues to sit still.

"C'mon, Red son! I spent hours practicing that speech!" Mk sighs standing up straight. "arent you gonna insult me? acknowledge I'm here?" Mk once again says as he lowered his staff.

"you make this boring. What's wrong with you?" Mk sits down. "Please, noodle boy, I am not in the mood for your immature games." Red son scoffs. "Yeah, okay. I expected that. well, I mean, if you need some one to talk to.." Mk was suddenly cut off by Red son who stood to his feet swiftly. "No, I would never!" he almost yells.

"Geez, man. I'm not forcing you! Calm  down for once." Mk stands to prepare to vault back home. "Look, it was a long work day and I'm tired. can you not destroy the city tonight?" Mk asks turning his head back around to face him. Red son scoffs and begins to walk away. as he walked, he heard Mk vault away.

as he slowly walked the long way home, he thought about what he had said. the words, "I'm not forcing you," echoed through his head. he offered him a choice to open up and it confused him. as he got closer, the smell of smoke and metal slowly got closer and more intense until he stood infront of the large door to enter. he took a breath and opened the door in fear of what would happen next. Iron fan stood impatiently just on the other side of the door to stare down at him. Red son could feel himself starting to sweat.

"where were you?" Red son stuttered trying to make an excuse. "TELL ME." she demanded. her voice forced Red son to spit out everything. His eyes close shut and he grips his fists tightly on his side. "I-I went to the hills to calm down, and then, the noodle boy showed up and suggested I open up to him for whatever reason! I told him I would never be his ally, I swear I-" he was suddenly cut off by Iron fan who slightly giggles. "Oh, my sweet, pathetic boy. I know you would never join a pathetic creature like him, however, this sparked an idea." she smiles

"that boy is weak. he wishes to sympathize you. sympathy and kindness is weakness. Red, if you want to prove that you are useful to this family, I want you to join him. be his friend perhaps. have him open up to you. have him trust you. once he spills his deepest weaknessess, you will telll me and we will have the perfect opportunity to end that pathetic child once and for all!" she laughs manically. "go to your room. son. you have a big day tomorrow.

his fists finally opened, red and bruised from gripping with such force from the stress. he quickly walked to his room and lay in his bed, motionless, staring at his ceiling, still shaking. what had just happned? he had to pretend to be his ally? he turned to his side and once again remembered how Mk gave him a choice to open up, whilst Iron fan demanded he spoke. "Sympathy is weakness. Crying is weakness." Red son whispered over and over again until he finally fell asleep.

Mk stretched and yawned loudly. this morning, the noodle shop was closed because Pigsy had a bad cold and was staying in bed while Tang took care of him.

Mk thought of all of the possible ways he could spend his day off. Maybe party with Mei all day? that sounded fun, until he remembered Mei was doing some special dragon ritual with her family. He could paint boats with sandy, but, for once, he was having an adventure of his own with his cats. Maybe he could train with Monkie king? nope. He was visiting his pals in the celestial realm.

Mk sighed loudly in annoyance. "Why is everyone goooooooonnnneeee..." He whined as he got dressed. He decided to just go for a walk instead and explored the city, bought some useless junk and saw cool buildings as he had every other day. He sat on a picnic table sipping tea and whining in boredom until he made eye contact with a hooded figure who snook around awkwardly. He immediately realized it was Red son but decided to keep watching to see whaty would happen. The hooded Red son kept awkwardly shifting closer and closer to Mk as he pretended not to notice, hiding his laughter.

Red son was eventually directly across from him at the table. "U-um.." The hooded man mumbled. "Hey, Red." Mk says smugly. "WH-WHAT? I-I'M NOT-" He coughs to make his voice deeper. "I dont know any.."Red"..." He mumbled. "suuuurreee... so what do you want? gonna attack the city? I can take you down easier than your dad." Mk says slowly grabbing his staff.

Red son sighs in embarrassment, "I can't believe im doing this.." he thought before opening his mouth to speak once more. "No. I would simply like to talk."
