The rest of that day, They walked around and enjoyed the warm day. Got ice cream, that Mk payed for of course, went to the arcade for a little bit, Mk also payed.

Red son had felt bad about Mk paying for everything but even so, He tried his hardest to suggest things and be kind.

Mk seemed to always be kinder and more ahead of him. Red son didn't complain. He was grateful.

All of Mk's kindness only made the soft, warm feeling in Red sons stomach grow bigger and bigger. His knees felt weak whenever he smiled.

Mk could tell something was on Red sons mind. It was pretty obvious. Even so, Mk also caught himself adoring his frustrated blush. Whenever Mk would catch him slightly smiling, it filled Mk with such happiness.

Red son looked up at the sky above and realized the sun would be setting soon. In a panicked rush, Red son grabbed Mk's hand and ran.

Mk was confused but ran with him while laughing.

After a few minutes they had made it below the hill from before where they first met.

"Mk, close your eyes. It's time for my surprise!"

Mk did as he was told and covered his eyes trying not to laugh as Red son led him to the top of the hill

"Okay, open."

Mk slowly opened his eyes and was surprised by a perfect picnic setup with a thin large blanket and colored lights strung by trees above.

It looked magical.

Upon seeing his reaction, the feeling that made his knees feel weak came back. It felt as though he could simply melt. Instead of questioning this feeling, he accepted it.

They walked up to the blanket together to wait for the sunset.

Mk stared at Red son as he gazed upon the city ahead, trying not to notice him staring.

"Thank you, Red son. Today was really fun."

Red son looked at him relatively happy as Mk laughed once more. Red son wished he could hear his laugh forever. It soothed him somehow, but soon, the awful feeling slightly came back making him frown and turn his head back towards the city.

"I don't know why you're so nice to me. You called me a hero but I'm the opposite. I'm sorry"

"Hey, it's okay. You're a hero to me, Red son."

Red son turned over to look at him, growing a small smile. Mk's eyes stared patiently and curiously like a deer. They drew Red son in and forced him to tell Mk everything.

"Ever since I met you, I've been feeling two things. Two strong feelings I can't explain. One has been eating away at my stomach and killing me from the inside out. The other is like a warm, soft melody that keeps dragging me to you. It makes my knees weak. I don't know what's wrong with me. I-"

Red son opened his eyes which were closed so tightly as he spoke.

Mk held onto Red sons hand on the blanket and slowly leaned in, his eyes full of the sunset.

Red sons heart began to beat hard and he wanted to run away, but the closer he got, the more calm he felt. He kept his eye contact as the eventide fell. Mk's eyes were almost glowing as much as the city ahead.

It was beautiful. He was beautiful.

Sadly, every beautiful eventide ends in a dark black night. Darker than anything.

Right before their faces touched, a strong gust of wind blew between them. A wind Red son had recognized too well.
