Nadia's POV
Chicago. My hometown. Oh how I love and hate you so much.

The streets bustling with the chatters of people heard from my open window, the sound of cars honking on the streets, my neighbor who was blasting his music loudly as a part of my his morning routine and added with my best friend, Alexa, who was rambling on and on about Seungcheol's arrival while she laid on my bed.

As for me, I was sitting down on the chair in front my desk, wanting to rip my eyes out as I try to ignore the world and think.

Being an event planner is one of the hardest jobs ever but I love it.

I was trying to put together a portfolio for a gaming company who hired me last minute due to some mishap with another one.

Here in Chicago, I was second on the list of one the best event planners in the city and even though it sucks to be second choice, I am glad that everyone acknowledges my work and loves it.

"I wonder if he would like the fact that I grew my hair longer since the last time he saw me it was shorter." Alexa rambled on.

Spinning around to face her, she notices the serious and deadly glare on my face, quickly silencing herself.

"Not to raid on your love rant but I really need to think and everything is annoying me right now." I expressed my frustration.

"I'm sorry, I was....Wait," she paused sitting up looking at me with furrowed eyebrows, "Did you just say love rant?"

I shrug. "Glad to know you're not deaf."

"I wasn't love ranting. I just miss my bestfriend and I thought you would too." she tries to justify but I knew better.

Seungcheol and Alexa have always been like this since high-school. Anyone could tell these two were in love with each other but were both too stubborn to act on their feelings, scared of hurting each other and our friend group.

It's completely understandable when we were teenagers but now we are adults and nothing still has changed between them. I just hope they both finally grow up and be honest with each other.

"I miss him too but he won't pay my bills." I frown and she sighs.

"What's wrong now?"

Releasing a soft sigh, I explained to her about my situation. Alexa has always been supportive of my job and she actually helps me from time to time but I wanted to do this on my own since it was my first big event for a huge company.
