Mon. 29th, April...
Wonwoo's POV
I release a soft sigh as I fix my tie that felt tight all of sudden as Alexa, Mingyu, Joshua, Seokmin and I all stood on the elevator making our way up to the last floor to meet with the investors and board members.
After announcing that Alexa was the leading game developer and designer with Seokmin's management, it seems to be a bit of an issue since no one has ever heard of her.
The meeting was called today to finalize everything and prove to that Alexa was indeed the perfect person for the job but also assure them that something like this can never happen again.
The doors to the floor open and we walked down the hallway to the conference room which is in the opposite direction of my office.
"I don't see the issue. I think they should be glad that I'm even offering my services." Alexa expressed with an annoyed tone.
I am sure she was probably upset that she was called in for work before her actual working hours she chose for herself.
"I think it's because they've never heard of you. To be honest, neither have I." Seokmin explains.
"All that matters is that we convince the board and investors that we know what we're doing and we should be good." Mingyu states.
"I've spoken to Junhui and Minghao. I think Alexa just needs to give them assurance." Joshua informs them.
Alexa sighs. "I don't care. Being around a bunch of old sleazy rich man already annoys me. I'm only doing this for Gyu, a cheque and the fact that you make some sense Wonwoo."
"Nicest thing you've said to me in years." I smile in her direction and she shoos me, making me laugh.
Mingyu opens the door to conference room motioning for me to enter first.
"Let's just get our points across." I said and they nod.
As we walked inside following my lead, all heads turn in our direction as they all chatter softly.
"Who is she?"
"I'm disappointed by how he came in looking all calm knowing our money is almost lost."
"He better answer every question or else I want him fired."
I knew my position was heavily looked upon when the prototype got stolen. It's expected in this industry or anywhere as long as you are the CEO.
My father pushed for my position as his son so it's expected to be easy for me but I had to work to make sure that I can be trusted and that I am very serious about my role.
These people have invested their time, money and trust in me so I can understand their disappointment.
I just hope that not everyone has lost faith in me.
