Chapter 7, Win or Lose:

Tommy's eyes shot open in an instant, awakening him from any dreams that lingered in his mind. It was the day. The day. The day he had been waiting for and dreading for a whole entire month. The day of the war. Tommy sat up and put on his brand new red coat and green bandana, both of which he had somehow managed to get completely filthy in the span of only ten days.

"Good morning." Ranboo said with a groggy tone from across the room.

"Morning Boo!" Tommy replied enthusiastically.

"Did you just get up as well?" Ranboo asked, sitting up and stretching his long arms out into the air.

"Yeah, I'm just excited since it's the big day!" Tommy beamed as he tied the laces of his boots.

"Shut up you two. I'm trying to sleep." Tubbo interrupted in a mumble, his face shoved into his pillow.

"You've got to get up too, you know. Secret said that there would be breakfast this morning since there was a lot of leftover food and we needed our strength for today. I reckon there won't be any left if you wake up too late.." Tommy slightly teased, knowing Tubbo couldn't resist.

"Mggghh fine. Ranboo, can you get me my coat please?" He asked politely, at this point Tommy couldn't tell if their 'marriage' was a joke or not, since they acted like an old married couple most of the time and they had matching rings on their ring fingers.

"Sure." Ranboo stood up, almost hitting his head on the ceiling, and grabbed Tubbo's green coat.

"Here you go." He placed the coat next to him.

Slowly, Tubbo slinked his way out of bed and put on the coat, wrapping it around himself as if he were cold, even though it felt like it was a million degrees outside.

"You finally ready?" Tommy complained, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Oh fuck you." Tubbo stood up and opened the door for Ranboo, who smiled and ducked to get out. Tubbo followed and shoved the door closed before Tommy could leave.

Tommy ran over and opened the door for himself, wow, real mature.

"What the fuck Tubbo!"

The three teens argued all the way down the hall until they entered the dining room.

"Look who finally decided to show up." Technoblade smirked, giving Philza a sideways glance.

"Good morning!" Niki ignored Techno's snarky comment and smiled kindly.

"Morning guys. Sorry we're so late." Tommy rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, before taking his newly acclaimed seat between Technoblade and Secret and in front of Tubbo. It was weird how everyone's seats changed, it kind of happened naturally based on their relationships with everyone at the time.

"Gods, you three need to work on your time management. Phil got up at the asscrack of dawn to make breakfast." Secret reprimanded,

"That's not too bad, considering that the "asscrack of dawn" was literally fifteen minutes ago." Wilbur shrugged, quoting his speech with air quotes. Secret glared at him.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Be appreciative of Phil, dumbass." Sometimes the coldhearted Secret shined through her general happiness and good nature, but it never lasted for long.
