Saturday, March 14th, 2020. Jisoo is at the clinic, in the room where they save all the files, putting there the folder of last night patient. It was a Kim woman, so she opens one of the sections for Kims, looks for the right spot and slid it there.
In that move, he sees Tae's folder. A month before, she gave him that folder and Seokjin's too, and next day she heard Jimin randomly saying how stressful would it be for Namjoon if only one of those files would be missing, and Jungkook stared at her, because he saw her taking those folders. She had to take them back before Jimin noticed, so that same day, discretely, she came back to her ex-boyfriend's house to ask him to return them.
As she knocked at his door, she was still so embarrassed about what she confessed the day before on that letter, she thought the blue-haired would be hating her. But surprisingly, Tae smiled at her, and gave her the nicest hug as soon as he saw her at the entrance. She smiles, recalling the moment.
She walks back to the room next to it, her hands free now. Jungkook is there, holding the other door, and guiding the patient he just mapped.
“Now, please knock on that door, and the doctor will see you for the last step. Thank you” the man says kindly. Then he closes the door.
“Glad you don't say that lame joke anymore, that 'I will see you tonight sir, but you wouldn't see me, hahahahaha, because you will be asleep, hahahahaha' ” the girl says, deepening her voice to imitate the technician.
“That one never gets old, you'll keep hearing it” the younger snorts, sitting in front of some papers he has to arrange “Hey, I have good news, the second patient for tonight cancelled his appointment, and the one that just left hadn't so much content to be mapped, so we will end tonight's work before you can say Jungkookie is cool, I'm a fool.”
“Jungkookie is cool, I'm a... Hey!” Jisoo was repeating the technician's words. He laughs, looking at her annoyed face.
The cadet shakes her head, and sits next to Jungkook, starting with the daily maintenance for the procedure machines.
“I like seeing you in such good mood again, Kook” she smiles a little, still working, and whispers the next part “I know how hard it was letting Jimin go.”
The man sighs, as he arranges the papers in front of him.
“It wasn't easy, noona. I really liked him so much” he murmurs, grimacing.
“You still like him though.”
“Mmm... Yeah, but he's so happy with Namjoon-hyung than I wouldn't change a single thing” he smiles warmly “His happiness is all that matters.”
“I feel you. It was hard for me too letting Taehyung go, but I realized it was for the best. I know Seokjin makes him super happy, and if he's happy, I am too.”
Jungkook likes how the cadet decided that. He's proud of her.
Suddenly, he stops working, and turns to see the girl.
“Noona, I just realized something” the cadet stops working too, and turns to look at him “We're both single now. Well, Jimin-hyung and I weren't actual boyfriends, but anyways... Shouldn't we...?”
Jungkook leaves his sentence incomplete, and starts pointing to both of them, like implying that perhaps they should be together, now that neither has a partner.
They look silently into each other's eyes for a moment.
And they start laughing together, dismissing the idea immediately.
