Enough time for it to grow to serve Juan.

That is all, and enjoy the chapter!

Police Station (Juan's POV)

I was tending to some documents on my desk as usual. But then I received a text on my cellphone.

As soon as I opened it, I frowned as the sender of the text belong to an unknown number. But I knew who it was as the text contained a date and time with two initials T. M. at the end.

I keep this date and time in mind, deleted the text, and went back to my work as I sorted out some paperwork.

That's when Jones approached me, "Hey, Juan! You feeling good?"

"Yeah, why?" I replied,

"Cause we've got another case again," Jones revealed, "Our victim today must have been really pretty when she was alive... But her killer clearly did not want her to stay pretty in death,"

"Where was the body found?" I asked,

"She was found in the alley behind Joe's Diner, and it's been raining all night long. Who knows how many clues got washed away," Jones remarked,

"Then we better make do with what's left," I said as I stood up from my desk,

The two of us then left the station and I let Jones do all the driving from there.

Joe's Diner

As we arrived, Jones and I arrived at the scene. The victim was a woman and her face had been bludgeoned beyond recognition.

The only thing that remained at the scene was the victim's handbag just a few inches away from the body. I proceeded to search the handbag and pulled out an ID Card.

"Looks like we've identified our victim," I said, "Her name is Patricia Milis,"

"Patricia Milis... Wait, I think I remember her! She works in Marconi's Strip Club under the name Trixie Velvet," Jones recognized,

"Marconi's Strip Club? I thought you hated mafia bosses?" I inquired as I shot a curious look at him,

"What? I used to go there for the music," Jones stated,

"Sure you do," I remarked, "But since we know our victim works there. We've got a chance to speak with Marconi again. Cause he might know something about today's case,"

"Actually, Let's put that on hold for now. The one we need to talk to first is our witness, Miss Lydia Holly. She claims that she saw the whole thing happen,"

"Where is she?" I asked,

"She's right over here," Jones said, and led me to the witness of the murder,

Apparently, it was an old woman wearing a heart necklace on her.

"Miss Holly," I called out, "We would like to talk to you about what you saw, Care to share it with us?"

"Of course, Officers. Why this is all so exciting, isn't it?!" Lydia said rather calmly, much to our confusion, "I heard screams, I peeked out and saw that poor girl on the ground, and her attacker was running away!"

"Can you provide us a description of the killer?" I requested,

"Try as I might, I couldn't see their face. But they were thin, no heavier than 120lbs, and really pale, too," Lydia described, "As if they didn't get enough sunlight,"
