Once you were discharged from the hospital, you'd asked Light to walk you home. Apparently, you lived a few blocks down from him in a decently sized 2 bedroom, three bathroom house. He typed in the code on the door which you payed close attention to so you wouldn't need him every time you had to go home.

He brought you inside, helped you change out of your scrubs and placed your uniform on your desk. You were surprised at how clean your room seemed to be considering your habits back in your reality and watched patiently as Light picked out a t-shirt and boxers for you. Even though it took you by surprise, you let him gently pull the clothes on and brush your hair.

"I'm sorry, Y/n." His hand reached out to rub a bruise sitting on your ribcage.

You nodded at his apology, "Shit happens."

His eyes widened and his jaw slacked.

You raised your eyebrow at his expression, "What?"

"You just swore."

"..."

"Yeah... I did."

"You don't swear." It was a statement but phrased as a question.

"Oh...Well, fuck that. I do now then." Light laughed at you airily like he couldn't believe it.

"Okay, I guess you do."

Making a decision you weren't sure you'd regret, you promptly spit out, "Stay with me? I mean not... not like sleep with me or anything but.. stay here? Just like talk with me because I'm feeling really messy right now and I just-"

Light laughed again except this time it was full and lively. "Yeah, of course. Lemme grab my stuff and I'll be back. I'll grab dinner too, do American burgers work?"

As soon as he's got your affirmation, he's off out your door and you're left to your thoughts for the first time. As you apply toothpaste to your, hopefully your, toothbrush, you start putting your mental ducks in a row. Brain damage is a good excuse for memory loss, that's how you'll get information about yourself here. Sighing and sticking the brush in your mouth, you decide sorting realities out would be a good place to start.

Two realities, you think, two different versions of yourself. Reality A; home, Reality B: hell.

Since you were here, did that mean B y/n was in your place? Did that mean she was just as confused? Was she mucking stuff up for you too?

You spat out your toothpaste and looked in the mirror. You looked exactly like you. You felt exactly like you. You just didn't know if you were exactly you anymore.

Rubbing your eyes, you walked back into your bedroom. It seemed like B y/n held you same interests and aesthetics to heart, she had Alice Cooper and Metallica posters lining her walls and a massive stack of cds that filled a bookcase to the brim. Her bed was made neatly, the black sheets folded and sat pretty underneath fluffy pillows and fluffier stuffed animals.

Sitting down on the freshly vacuumed carpet, you drummed your fingers on the ground as you waited for Light. You heard the door downstairs open and close loudly and shot up from the floor, making your way to the door. A female voice halted your actions and you waited as you listened.
