The next couple of days before the meet was boring. Nothing happened, except for learning how to take care of griffins, getting my own violin, and the occasional talk about the meet up to discuss Goldie and Emperor Belos.
During my time at the castle, me and Goldie continued reading From Bones to Earth: A Study of Wild Magic. The book went in depth about wild magic, the different combination of wild magic, and how they can be used. After each chapter we finished, Goldie wanted to discuss the contents within the chapter. It was kinda nice to see him slowly open up from his cold demeanor, and talk about his interests.
Thursday finally came. I was in class for Bard, trying not to fall asleep as the teacher was giving us a lecture about instruments and their different abilities when the bell finally rang.
I walked out the door, and out into the hallway. Now that I think about it, I didn't specify where we would go after school to talk.
I pull out my scroll, and message the group while walking.

As I was about to put away my scroll, I accidentally walk into someone, causing them to drop their book.
"Oh shoot, I'm sorry." I apologized, going to pick up his book. I pick it up, and look up to see that it's Amity's older brother that I forgot the name off. He's in my class I think? Honestly I'm not sure.
"No worries." He responds. "Hey, you're new here, right? I think you're in my class."
"Yeah, I'm Ro." I say, handing him his book. "What are you reading?"
"I'm Edric Blight. It's a book about Beast Keeping magic, it's surprisingly good." He explained, showing me the cover. It had the Beast Keeping sigil on it, and the title read Beasts of The Boiling Isles, and How To Find Them.
"So where are you heading off to?" He asks, walking along side me.
"I'm just going to a cafe to meet some friends." I shrug.
"Allow me to escort you there." Edric announced. "I have nothing better to do."
"Hm." I pondered. "Don't you have a sister? Where is she at?"
"Well, she found some other people to hang out with..." Edric mumbled, suddenly going quiet.
I felt bad for him. So far, the only person I've seen him talk with his sister, and he sounded a little sad talking about her. "Alright then." I decided. "Let's go."
The cafe from the school is around a ten minute walk. It stayed silent other than the occasional whistle coming from Edric. This is awkward.
"So, what made you join the Illusions track?" Edrick asked, breaking the ice.
"Well, I actually always specialized in Illusions, I just decided to join some new tracks cause I was given the option to." I respond, kicking a rock in front of me.
