Hooray!
Moving.
Again.
This is the third time we've had to move because of Dad's job. He's part of the all-powerful Emperor's Coven, which I'll have to join when I graduate. Oh joy.
We'll be moving to a town called Bonesborough, on the Right Arm, and since we're moving, I'll be transferring schools too. This day just keeps getting better and better.
"Rosalinda! Come help over here!" I hear my dad yell.
He knows I hate it when he uses my full name. "I'll be right there!" I shout back.
I rush down the stairs of my now-empty house, and find my dad lifting several boxes into the moving truck.
"Dad! You know that'll throw out your back! Put those down!" I call out.
"Balderdash Ro! I'm not that old!" my dad shouts.
"Says the one that used 'balderdash'"
"Oh shush, now come help"
I take a few boxes out of my dads' arms and start hauling them into the truck, and I try to think of the pros and cons of moving to Bonesborough.
Pro: I'll be able to see my brother again. He moved out over there to pursue a "career of music". From what I've heard, he's been really successful, which is good news I guess.
Con: I won't be seeing my friends for a while. This is the longest we've stayed in one place, and I've become really close with the friends I have here, Emmelyn and Vera.
Pro: ... Big house? Maybe? Honestly I don't know. I can't think of any other pros
I see my dad putting the last of the boxes in the trunk. "Alright! I think we're all set! Let's get moving" he says.
Well, I guess this is it. Goodbye old house. Hello, Bonesborough.
I got into the car, put my earbuds in, and prayed that my life didn't spiral into a ball of madness after this move.
Oh how right I was.
