ANNA'S POV
Almost there. The journey to the forest is a little rigorous if you travel by foot. Since most of our ships are out in trade, Olaf and I traveled by land. I have Gerda looking over everything until I return. Everything is going to be just fine.... I hope.
We neared the edge of the forest. "Hey Anna, what will we do if Elsa needs to stay here???" Olaf's inquisitive and innocent tone traveled through the air.
"Well, if that's what she needs, then we will just have to deal with it, I suppose..." my heart wrenched at the subtle thought.
The last time we were here, the dense fog covered most of the forest's exterior. Now, it happened to be one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a while second to Elsa.
We were met by Honeymaren first as we entered the greeting edge. "Your majesty? To what do we owe?"
She said quietly.
"We are here looking to visit my sister."
"Oh...... well, she's yet to return from Ahtohallen. She was only in the forest for about an hour before going out there. None of us have seen her since..."
Worry fell over me. The last time she was there, she died.
"Okay, direct me towards the Dark Sea."
"Your majesty.... I don't think..."
"NOW. Which way?"
"Okay...."
At this moment, Yelana interrupted.
"Why are you here? Can't Elsa fulfill her obligations to us in peace?"
The words matched with the disapproving tone struck my heart.
"Apologies Yelana, the kingdom is worried for Elsa's well-being."
"So they sent their queen? Seems strange doesn't it?"
"Where is the Dark Sea?" At this point, I was finished with this.
Honeymaren gave me some pretty detailed instructions, and Olaf and I made our way through the forest.
"Did you know that trees never die of old age? So if nothing else killed them, they'd live forever?"
"That's nice Olaf."
My mind was consumed with Elsa.
After what seemed forever, we began to hear the movement of the water. When the dark sea came into view, we could see the tiny speck in the distance that must be ahtohallan. A glow surrounded it.
"ELSAAAAA!!!!!" I screamed.
Nothing.
"ELSAAAAAAAAAA!!!'"
"Anna, she's pretty far away."
"Then, we have to get there somehow...."
"Anna, look at how powerful the water movements are.... There's no way."
"Olaf, I need you to stay here on this beach. I'm going to get her..."
"Anna, we both know that's not a good idea."
"Yes. That's correct. But I can't live without her and without knowing she's okay."
And with that, I neared the edge of the sea.
"I'm a good swimmer, Olaf. I promise, I'll yell if anything goes wrong."
I took off my boots. I laid my bag down on the beach.
Here. Goes. Nothing.
I ran to the water and began fighting the current. It eventually slowed after I made it about 25 feet past the shore.
I'm coming, Elsa.
After 30 minutes of swimming, I began to grow tired. I could see Ahtohallan a little better as I had gotten closer. This is for Elsa. This is for Elsa.
I was not even halfway there.
The current picked back up slightly. "OLAF!!!!"
"Anna!!! Are you okay?"
That was the last thing I heard before I was swallowed in darkness.

ELSA'S POV
Why would she do this? Please wake up. Why would she do this?
I administered mouth to mouth. A minute or two passed. Nothing.
I pressed my hand to her cheek and I felt tears grow in the corners of my eyes. I leaned down and brushed my lips against hers. She was cold.
"Please Anna, come back to me... I'll never ever leave your side again..."
A few moments passed and then....
She began to cough. Water spewed from her mouth. I helped her up to a sitting position.
She looked up and her eyes met mine. "Promise?"
"What???" I was confused.
"Promise you'll never leave me again?"
"Of course. But Anna, what were you thinking?"
"I thought something might have happened to you..."
"You could have died..."
"But what would my life mean without you, Elsa?"
We both stared into each other's eyes for a moment.
She's beautiful. I can't believe she loves me.
She leaned in, and we shared a kiss.
"Let's go home, huh?" She whispered.
