(A/N: So, first I want to preface again for those who didn't read the description, no, Izumi and Izuku are not related. Anyways, let me know what you think of this and I hope you enjoy!)

Izuku POV

Hey, names Izuku Yagi. I'm the son of the number one hero, All Might. We had to move to Mustafu since dad got a new job at UA as a teacher.

I did have to leave all of my friends but I wasn't too sad about it. I wasn't very close to them.

We moved close to my new high school, Aldera high. Dad went to pick up some groceries for dinner since neither of us wanted to eat out so I decided to walk around town for a bit. It was close to time for school to let out so maybe I'd run into some of my new classmates.

As I was passing my new school, I saw a notebook get thrown out of the third story window. It looked like it was all burned so I ran over and caught it before it fell into a koi pond next to the school.

I took a look through to see if I could find who owned the book and quickly noticed that it had a load of info on heroes. If I didn't know any better, I would have said it was a hero encyclopedia and that would be cutting it short. "Wow, whoever wrote this is a much bigger quirk nut than me. Huh, I never thought I'd say that."

I looked up at the open window and began to wonder if the person that owns this is still up there so I did the only smart thing. I jumped between the schools concrete gate and the school wall to get up to the window and have a look.

Izumi POV

I was sitting at my desk after Kacchan destroyed my notebook with my latest quirk info and told me to jump off the roof. I didn't know what to do with myself anymore. Every time I think I pull myself up and continue to chase my dream, Kacchan pushes me back down further than before.

'Should I really just give up?' I looked out the window in thought when my eyes landed on a green haired boy sitting in the window sill. "Ahh!" I jumped out of my chair and fell backwards onto the floor.

"Oh, sorry. I was wondering if this notebook is yours?" He showed me my burned notebook. "It's got so much cool info on heroes. I just had to meet the person who wrote it."

"U-uh, I'm t-the one who wr-wrote it," I said, still on the floor and slightly looking over my desk.

"Seriously?! It's so cool to meet you! I never thought I'd meet someone with a bigger interest in quirks than me. I've got a ton of questions to ask but..." he began to look around the room. "Why are you in here all alone?"

I looked down. "I... my childhood friend told me I can't be a hero and to jump off the roof."

The guy looked visibly angered at that. "Doesn't sound like much of a friend to me. Why'd he say that?"

I hesitated to answer him. "I-I-I'm q-quirkless." I waited for him to laugh, berate, or even agree with Kacchan like everyone else.

"So? A quirk doesn't make the hero, the hero makes the quirk. If you want to be a hero, go for it. But... you might want to start training. The entrance exams are a bit labor intensive."

I began to cry. Someone really believed that I was able to be a hero. "Th-thank you."

"Hey, it's okay. You want to go to a cafe? We can talk about different quirks and stuff and maybe even see about training together of you want." I nodded and we walked out to a cafe nearby.

——

All Might POV

I was chasing a slime villain that decided to rob a bank while I was trying to buy food for me and my son. He managed to slip into the sewer system where it was too dangerous to attack him since he I could miss a piece of him.

I sent my son a quick text telling him I'm going to be a bit late and noticed that the villain left the sewer system. I jumped up and saw my son there with a girl and the villain was splattered all over the walls.

——

Izuku POV

This weird slime villain decided to jump out of the manhole behind us and tried to take Izumi, but I used my quirk to destroy him. After that, I got a text from dad who then jumped out of the same manhole. "Hey All Might. Lose something?"

"Ah, young Izuku, thank you for your assistance. Who is this?"

I looked over at Izumi who was freaking out that All Might was in front of her which made me chuckle. "This is Izumi Midoriya. She's got the heart of a true hero."

Dad's eyes widened as he understood what I was talking about. "Really? Tell me Ms Midoriya, why do you want to be a hero?"

"U-uh, I-I want to save everyone. Not just civilians but the villains too. I think every villain doesn't do evil because they want to. I want everyone to feel safe when I'm around, for them to smile." Dad began to smile wider. "But I'm quirkless. I can't do all that."

"Hey, don't say that." She looked at me. "You can do all of that and more. You really don't need a quirk to be a hero." She smiled and began to tear up again.

"Young Modoriya, I have something I wish to talk to you about something later. If you can head to young Izuku's home, we can talk there."

Izumi looked both confused and excited. 'Heh, cute. Wait... what?' As I was doing my mental double take, Izumi was getting her burned notebook signed by dad.

After dad jumped away, Izumi was looking at dad's signature in her notebook. She almost looked like she had stars in her eyes. "Alright, come on. We've got a cafe to get to." Izumi got out of her starry eyed wonder and we continued our way to the cafe.
