"Now, the most advanced amusement park in the entire world, incorporating all the latest technologies" John explains as we begin walking through the visitor center, a very large building with multiple floors and a T-rex skeleton being the heart of the facility. Despite the building still being under construction, it was very beautiful, "and I'm not talking just about rides, you know, everybody has rides. But we've made living biological attractions so astounding, that they'll capture the imagination of the entire planet." I follow Dr. Sattler and Dr. Grant with Dr. Malcolm keeping a close distance to my right. As we are making our way up the stairs to the second level I hear Dr. Grant and Sattler begin talking.
"So what are you thinking?" Ellie asks, leaning over closely to Dr. Grant.
"That we're out of a job." He replies quickly. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Dr. Malcolm plaster a huge smile onto his face, racing up the stairs to catch up with them.
"Don't you mean 'extinct'?" He asks, the same dorky smile plastered on his face. Ellie just gives a cute smile, while Dr. Grant only is able to react with an eye roll. I chuckle a bit at his joke, hoping only loud enough for myself to hear. Damn, why did puns have to be my only sense of comedy. Unfortunately I wasn't quiet enough, as Dr. Malcolm turns around and gives a crooked smile in my direction after hearing my laugh. He falls behind, now walking at my side once more and standing closer than ever. While taking a quick look at him, I begin to believe that he is unfamiliar with the concept of personal space.
As we continue through the visitor center, John leads us into a room that appears to be a movie theater. Several seats with protective bars like roller coaster chairs sit in front of a screen. The room is very lavish, giving a comfortable feeling. I make my way over to John as he asks us all to sit down.
"This is way more than I expected John. You've gone far above and beyond anything I had anticipated." I tell him, touching his arm slightly in support. He smiles at me, with a gentle nod.
"You haven't even seen the best part yet." He tells me, "Go sit down, we'll be starting in a moment." Sitting down in one of the seats, I am seated by the man who's name I overheard to be Donald.
"Hello there, I'm Lynette." I tell him, extending a hand, "I don't believe that we have been properly introduced."
"Donald Gennero." He says, sounding fairly uninterested but still shaking my hand weakly. He don't elaborate anymore as I have noticed that John has made his way up the screen which is beginning to play a video.
"Here, Here he comes." John remarks to himself while also looking at the large theater screen in front of us, "Well, here I come, yes."
"Hello, Hello." A recording of John says to us. I smirk. This seems about right for John.
"Say hello, say hello!" The real John tells us. Everyone weakly replies with hellos while I see Dr. Malcolm waving in a joking manner. I reply with a gentle greeting as well, giving a slight wave.
"Hello, John!" The recording John says, looking over at the real John standing next to the screen. This seems to make him realize something.
"Oh, yes. I've got lines." He says, pulling out some notecards from the pockets on his shirt.
"Well, fine, fine, I guess." The recording of John goes on before John can reply, "But, uh, how did I get here?"
"Uh, well, let me show you." John says finally in beat with the recording, "First, I'll need a drop of blood. Your blood." Screen John extends his finger, and John mimes poking it with a needle. A cartoonish sound accompanies them.
"Ooh! John, that hurt!"
"Relax, John. It's all part of the miracle of cloning!" As John speaks, a second John appears on the screen, followed by a third, and then more, all greeting each other in a very silly way. I chuckle a bit at this, but the other doctors are all distracted with talking amongst themselves. I lean in a bit to hear them.
