she attentively watched the unfamiliar strangers who had entered, silently, her eyes never wavering.
she had always been an observant person, considering how she grew up; she didn't have much of a choice.
it was the only way she survived..
her cruel childhood, the harsh life she was forced to live... golzine.he was the worst part, everything else seemed so simple compared to all the things he put her through.
she was tough, extremely tough, but golzine had drilled into her brain the idea that he was to be feared... that she should be terrified of him and what he would do to her..
how little he valued her life as if she was nothing but merchandise.. his own little personal play thing.groomed as a child to grow into his ideal woman.
she was just four years old when he ripped her away from her mother.
the greedy man wanting her all to himself.
she swiftly pulled skip safely behind her and aslan in one short motion, putting herself between the door and skipper...
sliding her thumb along the waistband of her jeans, blindly searching for the familiar feeling of cold steel, her finger now hovering over the rather large knife she always kept on her.
ready for whatever was to come.
she would die before she let anyone touch skip...aslan..or anyone in the bar for that matter.
they were her family.. ash her beloved big brother.. and skipper her beloved son.
she had always seen skip as her child, growing a deep and motherly love for him over the years they spent together.
two lonely souls.. two lost souls who needed eachother.. meeting at just the right time.
skipper gave her life purpose.
neither of them had anyone outside of the gang, finding their own little family within each other.
she has always been his mother figure regardless of the fact that she was a mere 12 years older than him.
they lived together in decent sized apartment; ever since she was able to convince golzine to let her move out of his mansion and have a little more freedom.
golzine bought her an apartment at the age of fourteen; with the agreement that she would visit whenever he requested she do so.
but, she had adored and watched over skip for many years before that.
she mothered him from the moment they had found skip in an abandoned building, he was just a toddler, taking on the full responsibility of caring for him since.
she grew an attachment to him and tried to give him the life full of love she never had.
especially after she found out what had happened to his parents..
the same thing that happened to her mother, they got tangled up with the wrong people.
although the newcomers didn't seem the least bit threatening; she knew better than to let her guard down.
