Taegyu one-shots

Birthday: Taegyu

It was March 13th, 2022. Today is Beomgyu's 22 birthday (going with his Korean age).

Taehyun wanted this day to be absolutely perfect for his boyfriend.

"Yeonjun, how's everything going?" Taehyun spoke to Yeonjun on the phone.

"It's going great Tae. Soobin just texted that he picked Beomgyu up from school. They're going to a museum." Yeonjun said.

"Perfect. How are you doing?" Taehyun asked.

"I'm doing great actually. Huening and I got the cake from the bakery. We also got a whole bunch of decorations. We're on our way right now." Yeonjun said and Taehyun heard Huening say hi from the other end.

"Ok good. I'm almost done making all of his favorite foods." Taehyun said.

"You're such a good boyfriend Taehyun. He's going to love it." Yeonjun said with so much admiration in his voice.

"Thank you," Taehyun smiled gently at the compliment, "look I have to go, see you guys when you get there." Taehyun said goodbye and hung up the phone.

As soon as he hung up he heard the ding of the oven and smiled brightly. Cupcakes were done!

Taehyun opened the oven and the smell of chocolate and vanilla made his mouth water. He gently took them out with the oven mitten and put them on cooling racks. He made 24 cupcakes.

He cooed when he saw how cute his choice of wrapping was. It was pink and blue with bears on them.

"Ok while those cool off I'm going to chop up the fruit." Taehyun said to himself.

He got all the fruit out of the fridge and searched for a big knife. He found one after looking through 2 drawers.

He had all sorts of fruits that he knew Beomgyu liked. Apples, bananas, mangoes, strawberry's, peaches etc.

He started cutting the knife but was startled by the doorbell and accidentally cut his hand, it was a small cut but it still hurt like hell.

"Shit." Taehyun cursed out loud.

"Taehyun?" Yeonjun's voice could be heard from the door.

"Just a second!" Taehyun yelled back as he started to run his hand under water to make the bleeding stop and put a bandage on.

"Coming." Taehyun said and opened the door to see Yeonjun and Huening Kai.

"Hey. You look busy." Yeonjun chuckled.

"Yeah. Can you help me?" Taehyun said trying to act like his hand wasn't in pain.

"Yeah what's up? Are you ok?" Yeonjun asked.

"Yeah I'm fine. Can you cut the fruits for me? I kinda.. cut my hand." Taehyun said and felt small under his hyungs gaze.

"Oh Taehyun of course I will. Here go help Huening with the decorations. And don't be ashamed. Cutting your hand is something that happens to all of us." Yeonjun patted his back.

"Ok come on Huening." Taehyun said and grabbed his hand leading him into the living room.

Before they started, Taehyun got a text.

Soobin: I'm bringing him home at 6, be ready

Taehyun: Ok hyung will do

Taehyun got off the phone and looked at the clock. It read 4:30.

"Times ticking, there's still so much to do. I need backup." Taehyun said and excused himself into the other room.

Taehyun made a phone call and went back into the room.

"Where'd you go? I got the balloons blown up." Huening Kai said as he pointed to about 20 balloons sitting next to a air tank so they wouldn't fly away.

"Oh we need extra help so I called your sister, she's on her way." Taehyun said as if it was the most casual thing in the world.

"Oh ok. She's pretty helpful when it comes to stuff like these. Wait which one did you call?" Huening asked.

"Bahiyyih." Was all that he said.

Time swept away, Bahiyyih had arrived and was currently icing the cupcakes with the colors Taehyun had set up for her, pink, blue, and green. Very spring like. And gave them each a swirl that seemed even professional.

Yeonjun had set up all the food, having the fruit cut and put back into the fridge so they wouldn't get brown. Set up a platter of both yogurt and caramel for the fruits to be dipped in. Had bowls of different chips and a ranch dip that Huening made (it's a specialty he likes to flex with lol), some veggies, and different pops for them to drink.

Taehyun and Huening Kai were busy decorating the living room together. They had streamers hanging from the ceiling, a big banner that said Happy Birthday Sunshine on it, a bunch of balloons hanging from each corner of the living room and kitchen, and more stuff you would have at a birthday party.

Taehyun excused himself and let Huening work by himself while he went into their shared bedroom and opened the drawer that he told Beomgyu not to touch and smiled as he saw his gift inside (you'll know later) (nothing inappropriate you weirdos 😂).

He came back and yelled to the others.

"Time check?"

"5:50, me and Bahiyyih are done in the kitchen." Yeonjun yelled back.

"I'm done with decorations!" Huening Kai said cheerfully.

"Perfect. Thank you guys so much, you were such a big help. Now all I have to do is put the cake on the table and we'll be set." Taehyun picked up the cake gently and put it on the table.

"Ok everyone it's almost 6, we know how Soobin is. He's going to have him here on the dot. So I'm going to go turn off the lights and we'll hide. Be careful and don't trip on anything!" Taehyun said and turned all the lights off as the four began to hide.

The sound of keys jiggling in the door made them go dead silent. Beomgyu is home.

"Taehyunnie? Why is it so dark in here you hate the dark. Are you asleep?" Beomgyu said as he turned on the lights and the small gasp was all they needed.

"Surprise!" They all shouted and Beomgyu looked at them in shock.

"Oh wow. Thank you everyone! Wait, Soobin did you know about this?" Beomgyu asked.

"Guilty." Soobin said while laughing.

"It was Taehyun's idea. He planned this whole thing out just for you." Yeonjun said and Taehyun smiled shyly.

"Aww Taehyunnie you did this for me?" Beomgyu said gently as Taehyun had now made his way over to the man he loves the most in this world.

"Yeah I-" Taehyun got interrupted when he felt Beomgyu's lips on his, kissing him tenderly and pulled away before the older deepened the kiss.

"Not now baby bear. There's people here. You can kiss me as much as you want when they leave." Taehyun said airily as his breath has just been taken away.

"I got you something, follow me." Taehyun said.

The two went into their bedroom and Taehyun opened the drawer. He took out a silver pendant with both their initials on it.

"Happy birthday Beomgyu, I love you so much." Taehyun said.

Beomgyu's eyes started to water slightly, "Oh Taehyunnie it's beautiful, thank you so much." Beomgyu hugged him.

"You're welcome, my spring prince. Now we got a party to celebrate huh?" Taehyun said as he snuggled in his shoulder.

Beomgyu released the hug and gave the younger one more soft kiss.

"Yeah we do." Beomgyu said.

Beomgyu had the perfect birthday.
