Beomgyu!" Beomgyu sighed heavily as he heard the loud voice of his father yell from the stairs he was currently coming down on.

"Yes father?" Beomgyu said.

"The ball is exactly in 1 hour. Is everything ready to go?" Mr. Choi had asked.

"Yes father. The ballroom is in tip top shape for the ball tonight. Now, I would like to finish getting ready, can you please leave me alone?" Beomgyu had asked his father nicely.

"Yes son I'll leave you alone. I'm so proud of you for finally wanting to be married. Whether you find yourself a beautiful girl or a handsome man, I'll support you either way." Mr. Choi had left.

Beomgyu sighed in relief and continued getting ready for the ball that was now in 45 minutes. His father sure does take a long time to get down those long stairs, who could blame him though, he was getting old.

That was the reason why Beomgyu had decided to get married. He knew that his dad was getting old, and with being the only son, he was next in line to take the throne.

His dad wouldn't be able to rule for much longer, just yesterday he was in bed sick for the entire day, having Beomgyu take over his royal duties for the day.

Another reason, Beomgyu was starting to get lonely. Sure there was Ryujin, his private secretary and his best friend, but there was no one to love. He wanted someone to hold, kiss, everything that couples do. He's had a couple girlfriends and boyfriends before, but none of them meant anything and they were pretty much forced. This way he can chose his own lover, no forcing required.

He was finally done getting ready, which took quite awhile because a man's got to look his best of course, and he looked up at the grandfather clock and saw that it was almost time for the ball.

He ran a hand through his brown hair, fluffing it up a bit, and went to go retrieve a royal staff member to open the door for the people coming into the palace in a matter of minutes.

*Insert those fancy trumpets seen in royal movies*

"Ladies and Gentlemen!" Heesung, the announcer for the palace, had said.

"Welcome, to Your Higness, Prince Beomgyu, royal ball! We are so honored to have you here with us today. I see lots of young folks in the crowd," Heesung chuckled as he said that, "I'm assuming you're all here to possibly be chosen as the one the Prince chooses to marry."

Murmurs were heard from the crowd that was outside the castle. Actually, lots of sounds were heard. Carriages coming to a stop, heels clicking, laughter.

"Now, it's time for me to announce, that the ball is finally opening. Please come in one at a time, we don't want anyone to get hurt and we don't want excessive ruckus." Heesung finally finished his speech and the crowd of people entered the palace.

"This way please!" Jimin, the tour guide, announced and lead them to the ballroom.

Ooos and ahhs could be heard from the people entering the ballroom. It was expected as this was the biggest and most gorgeous place they've ever seen.

"Let the ball begin!" Heesung announced and the crowd grew lively.

"Well, here we are!" Soobin yelled as he stopped the carriage in front of the palace.

Taehyun looked out the window and his eyes widened. He's never seen a place more elegant in his entire life.

"Oh wow." Taehyun said.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Huening Kai asked and looked at him.

"It's perfect. Wait, have you been here before?" Taehyun asked.

"Of course. I'm a fairy, I can go wherever I want. Did you not know?" Huening Kai asked.

"Know what? What am I supposed to know?" Taehyun was now confused.

"Us fairies have been worshipped for centuries. We are the only ones that are above the royal court." Huening Kai explained.

"Wait, seriously?!" Taehyun was absolutely shocked, he had no idea.

"It's true," Soobin said opening the door and helping the two out.

"Fairies are the highest of the social latter. We are the longest living and most powerful beings in the country. The royal court bows to us because we're superior. We can go wherever we please, the entire kingdom is our playground." Soobin explained.

Taehyun was shocked at the information he had just heard. Fairies are really that powerful?

"But, if you're that high in the social latter, then why are you helping a poor, worthless boy like me? I definitely shouldn't be wasting your time." Taehyun asked.

"We don't care about any of that! Us fairies are the kindest beings. We help anyone in need, no matter what rank they are at. And you, Taehyun, needed us the most. The reason why Yeonjun hyung came to you is because he knew you needed us. He knew you were hurting both physically and emotionally. We came because we wanted to help you. You are our main priority right now. Don't ever put yourself down again." Huening Kai exclaimed.

Taehyun let all those words sink in and he started to cry. He's hasn't been treated this kindly in 9 years. He's forgotten what it felt like.

Both Soobin and Huening Kai smiled gently at the vulnerable boy. They quickly enveloped him in a hug and stayed there for a couple minutes.

"Aww look at you three how cute!" A very familiar voice had came out of nowhere and they all turned their heads.

Yeonjun was leaning against the carriage all dressed up.

"What are you doing here? I thought you went back?" Soobin asked looking at the red headed male.

"And miss the ball? Absolutely not. Aww Taehyun honey, come here." Yeonjun opened up his arms and Taehyun walked over and hugged him tightly.

"It's ok dear. You've been through so many hardships these past years. We're here for you." Yeonjun hugged the crying male.

Taehyun's tears soon turned into sniffles and he got out of Yeonjun's embrace.

Yeonjun ran his thumbs across his eyes and cheeks, wiping away any tears he had leftover.

"Now let's get you fixed up." Yeonjun did a spell and Taehyun looked all better, no signs he cried, his makeup was fixed, he looked perfect.

"Alright let's" Yeonjun got cut off by a sound only he can hear and he looked disappointed. Soobin and Kai knew what was going on, Taehyun was confused.

"What happened?" Taehyun asked.

"I got a message. I have something to do, man I was looking forward to the ball!" Yeonjun said and looked extremely upset.

"A message? I didn't hear anything." Taehyun said.

"It's a fairy thing. Every time we get a personal message only we can hear it, but if it was for all of us, then the rest of us can hear it. Since me and Kai didn't hear the message, the message is to Yeonjun only." Soobin explained.

"I have to go. You guys have fun. Taehyun, 5:53, you understand me?" Yeonjun asked and Taehyun shook his head yes.

Yeonjun nodded. He then let his wings come out and he flew away. Leaving the  three alone.

"Well I think it's time we enter, don't you think?" Huening Kai said excitedly.

"Yes definitely. I'll stay out here and keep watch of the carriage, make sure there are no thieves." Soobin said and sat back down in his spot of the carriage.

"Well that just leaves the two of us. You ready?" Huening Kai put out his arm, getting ready to escort Taehyun.

Taehyun wrapped his arm around Huening's.

"I'm ready." Taehyun said.

The two walked to the castle and into the ballroom.
