Taerella: Taegyu pt 1

In the kingdom of Wishlist, there lived a boy named Taehyun. He had both a feminine and masculine side and everyone would make fun of him and call him Taerella.

Taehyun didn't mind the nickname everyone gave him, who was he, a poor boy who lived with a terrible step family, going to do about it? That's right, absolutely nothing.

Taehyun lived with his evil step mother Lisa, and his two nasty step sister and brother, Yuna and Changbin. (stan Itzy, Blackpink and Stray Kids for clear skin 😌)

Taehyun's father died after he was about 10 years old, leaving him with a step family who absolutely hated him, and treated him like a slave for 9 years.

Now, 19 year old Taehyun was still stuck being a slave and wondered every day if he was ever going to be free.

Taehyun was sleeping peacefully and he woke up to the sound of someone banging on his door.

He sighed and fixed his nightgown, which he found was the most comfortable to sleep in, and opened the door.

"Oh well look who finally decided to wake up," Yuna said sarcastically and rolled her eyes, "we're all hungry. Make us breakfast." Yuna said and closed the door.

"I'm literally older than you, why can't I get a little ounce of respect." Taehyun said and sighed once again.

He got out of his night clothes and into the clothes he was supposed to wear as their servant.

He opened the door and heard fighting.

"Changbin you idiot! Why would you steal my precious diamond earrings! They're going to be all stretched out because of your big ass ears!" Yuna screamed at him.

"Earrings can't get stretched out you dummy! And they looked nice on me so of course I wore them." Changbin yelled back.

Taehyun just made his way to the kitchen but of course he somehow got wrapped into their fight.

"Taehyun! Tell him that my earrings are going to get stretched out!" Yuna said to him.

"Sorry Yuna, but earrings can't get stretched out. They are made to fit everyone's ears." Taehyun said and Yuna huffed.

"See, Taerella agrees." Changbin said and Taehyun only scoffed.

"Well now that you called me that I'm not going to agree with you anymore." Taehyun said and Changbin made a surprised face.

Out of nowhere, Taehyun felt a hand smack him against the head so hard he almost felt dizzy.

"Did I just hear your filthy mouth talk back to my son?" Lisa said in an angry voice.

"I-I'm s-sorry ma'am. I don't k-know what c-came over me." Taehyun stuttered in fear.

"You better be sorry. Know your place." Lisa said to him.

"Yes ma'am." Taehyun said.

Before anything could possibly get worse, a knock on the door was heard.

"Go get it." Lisa said.

"Yes ma'am." Taehyun said and hurried off to the door.

He opened it and there stood the royal message deliver, Hwang Hyunjin.

"Message from the royal court! Here you go, Taehyun." Hyunjin gave him the letter.

Hyunjin and Taehyun were close friends since childhood, Hyunjin obviously getting the better end of the stick by becoming the royal message delivery man.

"Hey real talk, are you ok? You know I could probably get the royal court to do something to get you outta here." Hyunjin whispered to him.

"You know Lisa will do everything in her power to get you fired if you do that right? And to risk you losing your job? No way." Taehyun says. Taehyun always thinks of others instead of himself.

"Taehyun!" Yuna shouts.

"Listen I got to go. Bye bye." Taehyun said and shut the door gently.

Taehyun walked back in the kitchen and put the mail on the table watching his siblings fight for who was going to read it first. Changbin won.

"What does it say?" Yuna asked excitedly.

"Dear people of Wishlist. The royal prince Beomgyu is looking for a bride or groom and will be throwing a ball tomorrow night at 7pm. Hope to see you there!" Changbin read out loud and Taehyun's head immediately lifted.

Prince Beomgyu was only the most attractive man in the entire kingdom. Taehyun has only seen pictures but that didn't help him from not crushing on him.

"Omg the Prince is finally looking to get married! Oh I'm definitely going." Yuna said and Changbin agreed.

"I want to go." Taehyun said quietly but loud enough for the two to hear him.

They looked at him for a second and immediately burst into laughter making Taehyun feel sad.

"You? Want to go to the Prince's ball?" Changbin laughed.

"I mean why not? Everyone is allowed to go." Taehyun said.

"Taehyun not to burst your bubble but I don't think the Prince is going to want someone like you. You're literally a servant boy and he's going to want someone with good looks. You're kinda ugly not gonna lie." Yuna said and laughed as she mocked him.

"Oh. Yeah you're right. Maybe I shouldn't go." Taehyun said sadly, believing their words.

"Exactly, Taehyun mustn't go to the ball. It'll put a bad image on our family. And we wouldn't want that now would we?" Lisa said coming into the room after hearing the conversation.

"Yes ma'am." Taehyun said, his voice sad and lips quivering.

'Don't cry.' A voice in his head had said.

"Now shall we get ready? We have a lot of preparation to do for tomorrow night." Lisa said and both kids agreed.

"Oh wait! Taehyun never made us breakfast." Yuna said with fake sadness in her voice.

"Ahh it's too late for that now. Now come children. Let us go get ready. Taehyun, meet us in the living room in 5." Lisa said and all three of them went in the living room and left Taehyun all alone.

A tear slipped past his cheek and immediately rubbed it away. "No crying, that'll only get me more hurt.".

"Ouch Taehyun that hurt!" Yuna said as Taehyun was trying to get her dress fitted and accidentally stabbed her with the sewing needle.

"Sorry Yuna, but you keep moving. It'll be better if you just stayed still." Taehyun tried to reason with her but only got a scoff in return.

"Whatever. Just stop being stupid and get it fitted already!" Yuna shouted at him.

"Yes Yuna." Taehyun said and finished getting her dress fitted. He had to admit his step sister did look very pretty, but did she really have to have her boobs out like that? He thought she was just trying to get the Prince's attention.

It was the day of the ball and Taehyun was working his ass off trying to get everyone fitted in time. He already fitted Changbin in his suit in the morning.

He was finally done and he looked at his work in satisfaction.

"You look pretty Yuna." Taehyun complimented her which took her by surprise.

"Thank you, Taehyun." Yuna said with a light smile.

"Ok everyone the carriage is here! Time to go!" Lisa said and each one of them got into the carriage leaving Taehyun all alone.

They left without even saying goodbye, typical.

Taehyun went out into the garden and finally let all his emotions out and sobbed loudly.

He just wanted to be happy.
