//I'll put a link to the mixtape at the end and yes this has a heavy musical theme in this part//

After finally getting Steve to calm down, Ed put the album Tiffany on his record player and pulled Steve up to dance with him "I think we're alone nowww, there doesn't seem to be anyone aroundd" he sang and danced around the room in an erratic and messy way. Steve laughed at his bad dancing and wrapped his arms around the other's shoulders, "I think we're alone now" he mumbled along to the song.

"OH! I almost forgot!" Eddie exclaimed and grabbed a cassette tape "I made you a mixtape! It's got Kiss and Abba a-and Tiffany and a whole bunch more!" He smiled brightly at Steve while still shuffling his feet to the music. Eddie hurriedly put the mixtape into his cassette player and hit play, the first song to play was Hey Lover by The Daughters of Eve. Once again Steve wrapped his arms around the other's shoulders and Ed held onto Steve's waist. "Since when are you into dancing, Princess?" Ed asked and swayed to the music in the background.

"I'm not but dancing with you is nice, ya know?"

"I do in fact know, I'm the one dancing with you."

"Well aren't I lucky?" Steve laughed and laid his head on the other's shoulder. "Damn right you're lucky" Ed laughed along with him, in response he pulled the other closer as a slower song started to play. "We haven't danced like this since 75'" The last time they danced like this when they were 9. More Than a Woman started playing and Eddie started to sing to Steve while dancing in each other's arms. "More than a man to me~" Steve mumbled into Ed's shirt. The taller's face went beet red, he pulled away and looked down at him "if I lose you now I think I would die-" he mumbled, searching Steve's eyes for anything remotely relating to love and only found friendship.

"Let's go to bed-" Eddie turned down the music to a dull rumble and put Steve to bed. "You're coming to bed right?" Steve questioned too which Ed nodded and left the room.

He paced around the house, this was a nightly ritual before he went to sleep to make sure no one else was there. He saw no signs of other people aside from the occasional mouse or spider, he was used to that. Eddie sat on the couch and thought about Steve's big brown eyes once again, only seeing friendship, no love other than that of a brother or best friend. He'd could only dream of Steve wanting a guy like him. He felt pitiful and lonely, Eddie's entire existence was miserable, he was called ugly by his peers, ungrateful by his elders and scary by younger people. The only person who truly cared for him without regard for his downfalls or his looks was Steve. Naturally he was attracted to this attention he received but he never once spoke about it for fear of being bullied further on his sexuality. Eddie listened to his room and only went in when he knew the other was asleep.

Ed pulled off his shirt and climbed into his bed, he yawned and pulled the blanket over himself. He rubbed his eyes, blinked a few times, then let his eyes fall shut, before he fell asleep he heard shuffling next to him and knew Steve was up.
